The house is beautiful and spacious, plenty of room for 8 or more people with comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen. The outdoor space was perfect for relaxing and wildlife spotting. We enjoyed cooling off in the pool, barbecuing, and lounging in the hammocks. There were even pineapples growing in the yard!
The location was minutes from town and the welcome by Nohelia and Marco was great. We loved our stay and hope to return one day.
This house is simply amazing. We arrived late and were met by Nohelia and Marco with glasses of fresh pineapple juice. The house is open and airy with plenty of big spaces for the 6 of us. The bedrooms are big. The bathrooms are very fancy. The grounds are beautiful. When it's clear, Arenal is the background for the many pictures we took. We used the outside palapa(?) in the afternoons for playing cards and napping in the hammocks during the rain. The house is outside of town and off the main road, so it is quiet and nicely secluded but close to restaurants and shops. There is a locking gate and fence, so it seems very safe. I really can't say enough about this house except I wish we could have stayed longer!
Upon arrival we were greeted with fresh pineapple drinks by the home owner, Marco, and Nohelia. They quickly gave us the tour and house rules and our requested chef arrived soon after. Our family of 8 had plenty of room and we really enjoyed sitting on the patio at night. There were plenty of towels and the kitchen was well stocked. The beds/pillows gave us some of the best sleep we ever had and all my family members agree! We stopped at the grocery store for drinks, snacks, and dinner items. The store is about a 15 minute walk or you can call for a taxi for approx. $2. We used the english speaking taxi service provided in the guestbook but we used other taxi services as well. Our favorite taxi was a gentleman called Eduardo. He didnt speak English but we knew enough Spanish to navigate. He is reliable and arrives at requested time. We preferred him for his large van. His number is 86-77-56-39. Marco's wife also provides chef services but we did not use her since we already arranged for dinner on our arrival and breakfast the next day with Casa de Costa Ricas private chef services. The food was very good and the fruits were just amazing. We thought the pancakes were a bit overpriced ($8 plus a min of 4 orders) but it was still very tasty. The chef even cleaned up so we felt very spoiled. He was extremely informative on local attractions as well but we had our days planned so we did not have extra time for any of his recommendations. We did book a horseback riding trip through William and we enjoyed the adventure very much. There are many restaurants available downtown if you do not want to cook. The property was truly amazing and we saw a variety of animals. My entire family was sad to leave this fabulous place!
