While visiting Arenal, we went to these hot springs and the ones at Baldi. I liked Paradise because it was very peaceful, and we were some of the only people here. The dinner we had was also good and freshly cooked. However, there were only six pools (and two of them were very small). Also, when we ordered drinks, the lady didn't have change for colones or US dollars, which was a bit weird. She left for ten minutes to go find some. A double shot pina colada with fresh pineapple was $8 by the way. Overall, though, going here was a nice experience since we had just come into the area from an overnight flight. The guy working at the front desk was also super helpful and informative.
We went during the wet season so it rained a bit, but it wasn't a big deal while sitting in the springs.

Very nice spot in La fortuna, if you want to have a relaxing time. It has a few pools with different temperatures. The place is quite private, surrounded by beautiful gardens, nice music. Not very expensive.

We had a wonderful time at Paradise Hot Springs, we went late in the afternoon on a rainy day and it felt like we had the entire place to ourselves! It was so much less touristy and felt really laid back - truly relaxing. The staff was so kind and friendly, willing to customize our experience in any way we like. The entry fee is less than the other resorts and they provided us with towels, a locker and really clean showers with soap for afterwards. It was a really cool experience in the rain at night.

Check out our post for more tips and great photos! Enjoy :)

After a long day of hiking we thought the spa sounded great so we stopped by for lunch and a nice soak in the pools. The staff was very grumpy and instead of taking our lunch order they just sat in their chairs and stared at us. We finally were able to order but we could tell we were bothering them. The food was good but took forever to come and we had to keep asking for water. There were only 4 of us at the spa so it wasn't that they were too busy. The pools were okay but our frustration level was so high it wasn't a pleasant experience.

This was a very cool place. It wasn't busy at night. We visited the gift shop first. Ate the buffet. Then did the tour of the hot springs. Tip: get towel later. It might get stolen if you get it first and leave it while you are in pools. The saunas were cool. A bit too hot for us at the time.
