The room was clean and comfortable and the decor fits with the tropical theme of the resort. The room was a good size with an air conditioner built into the wall above one of the beds. Be careful in setting it too low or you might be awakened by ice chipping flying from the unit.
The patio outside my room overlooked the Arenal Volcano. Although you can't see the lava from here and and it often shrouded in clouds, viewing the volcano from the rocking chair on my patio was a nice way to spend a rainy afternoon.
The grounds of the resort are lushly landscaped with flowering trees attracting hummingbirds. There is a nice path to walk around the resort. There is a hidden waterfall along the far side of the property.
There are two restaurants. The one at the back end of the resort is by the pool and serves a breakfast buffet and has a bar close to the pool. The restaurant at the front of the resort is more expensive, but the food is far better and more interesting.
The staff was very helpful and friendly, including helping me arrange last minute activities.More
