“Highlight of Our Trip”

My wife and I chose to stay here because we were looking to avoid the tourist experience and this property exceeded all of our expectations. The views from this villa are amazing, the staff is great. The owner is extremely helpful and friendly. He can help arrange activities at his ranch (like horseback riding) as well as help coordinate adventure activities off site near La Fortuna. I have actually recommended friends and family to travel to Costa Rica specifically for this property / experience. It was by far the highlight of our trip and we could have stayed here the entire time.

“Amazing Villa in the Arenal Area”
Reviewed 23 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

This villa is not only beautiful, perfectly located, but also had an extraordinarily helpful owner! Located on an amazing horse ranch about 30 minutes from La Fortuna, this is the perfect place to relax while still having access to any activity imaginable. This villa is more beautiful than the pictures suggest, clean, and comfortable. During our stay we went horseback riding, white water rafting, rappelling, and ATVing to hot springs, which were all arranged ahead of time by the owner. Every night after returning from our adventures we were able to escape the other tourists and just lay in a hammock looking at the beautiful Costa Rican mountains. This villa is perfect for any couple coming to the Arenal area!

“Perfect - Modern, clean villa in a traquil setting”

We felt so fortunate to find this place and Esteban (the owner) for our stay in Costa Rica.

The villa was perfect, consisted of two buildings, one containing a comfortable king size bed, A/C and attached living space with toilet and walk-in shower. The second, included a fully equipped kitchen with microwave and gas cooker, large dining table, separate toilet and additional living space with a 3-seater sofa and large flat screen TV. Both properties were very thoughtfully furnished, spacious, with large glass patio doors and clean on arrival and daily during our stay. The villa had it's own private entrance, surrounding landscape garden and veranda with hammock and seating area. The property also had a gated entrance with access code, an alarm and safety deposit box inside which made us feel very safe.

Esteban and his family were very hospitable and Esteban helped us with all aspects of our stay in Costa Rica to ensure we had the BEST vacation and at the BEST price. He is English speaking and very knowledgeable. He was able to book us our trips (hanging bridges with guide, zip lining, white water rafting), car rental, recommend places to eat, assisted with navigated the roads and hotel bookings. The activities on the ranch and surrounding areas - horse back riding, AVTs with a visit to the local hot springs and hot air ballooning where experiences that we will never have anywhere else. All aspect of our stay at the villa and Esteban were well organized and professional. There is nothing I would have changed.

“Beyond my expectations”
Reviewed 6 February 2014 for a stay in February 2014

We rented this one bedroom cottage ( house) because I found the accommodations in the Arenal region on the pricey side. The pictures looked really good and the description of the place was very informative. It was a bit out of the way of the main attractions but this place is actually an attraction in itself. It has a pool, horseback riding, ATV rentals all world class.
Esteban the owner is a real pro who seems to know everyone in the region. He gave us incredibly good information and even called himself to insure we would have the right timing to get the most out of the attractions. I even rented the car with Alamo through him.
If you want ( and probably should) to discover the Arenal region , call Esteban and rent from him, you will not be disappointed.

“Great Christmas 2014 in Costa Rica”
Reviewed 2 January 2014 for a stay in December 2013

The rancho is great. Location is perfect - you can get to Arenal vulcano in 30 minutes of drive. The guesthouse where we stayed is very comfortable and designed by the owner personally, with a great taste - everything is absolutely new and decorated in wonderful wooden style. The big glass doors show a wide-wide view on hills and rancho fields nearby, with horses. Colibri and tucans fly nearby. Bogomols, frogs, lizards come to take a look at you from jungles.

We took horseback ride from the rancho for half a day - there were 2 guides for our party of 3 people, and the trip was amazing. Through jungles with sloths and monkeys, forests, pineapple and sugarcane plantations, hills, creek, we even floated on horses in a river!

The owner's family was very open and hospitable. They speak perfect English and has lots of contacts in Costa Rica - the owner gave us lots of good advices on activities and places in Costa Rica and can suggest activities with good discounts. For example, he rented a Alamo car for us in airport with big discount without any issues.

“I "highly" recommend this villa.”
Reviewed 2 January 2014 for a stay in December 2013

We were so lucky to have run across this fun and enchanting ranch. Beautiful scenery and an amazing array of activities, especially the hot air balloon flight. Esteban, the owner, is an incredibly gracious, helpful host and personally saw to it that we experienced the best of Costa Rica. Make this a must stay for anyone vacationing in Costa Rica.
