I just got back from an amazing trip to CR. The Treehouses were our first stop! The hotel is very easy to get to. You are a little outside of the Arenal area which gives you the best of both worlds... just a short, direct 30 minute drive gets you to the arenal area and you get the best of both worlds.

The trails are great but be prepared to sweat!!!

Breakfast was delicious! mark and Lucy were fabulous at helping us get acclimated to CR. We will definately be back!

Pura Vida!

INCREDIBLE

My husband and visited Costa Rica on our one year anniversary/his birthday.
First of all Mark and Lucy God Bless them. They were there at the time managing the Hotel.
Absolutely a great team. I requested a Birthday Cake for my husband to be set up in the room when we arrived there.
Not only did they have a cake for us there. They decorated the room all over with gorgeous exotic flowers right from the jungle.
During breakfast they stayed around and shared stories with us like if we knew each other for years it was great.
Before our hike Mark would coach us. He told us what fruits we could eat, stay on the trails we would be safe from the snakes and spiders
and my favorite the cougar. During our hike we did see mommy and baby sloth also monkeys of course and all sorts of little creatures.
The Staff was very kind and helpful at all times. Thank you Mark and Lucy we had a wonderful time at Tree House Hotel.

I had never visited Costa Rica and was having a little difficultly planning because I wanted to hit several areas. I chose to stay at the Tree house hotel our first night. The hotel was beautiful, the rooms even had hot water AND air conditioning! Also, Mark even helped me plan the rest of my trip by suggesting nearby beach areas and helping me set up transportation. When we checked out we even saw a monkey swinging through the trees! Our trip was amazing! Thanks Mark and Lucy!

The service was amazing. Mark met us at the main house with keys in hand and an itinery of the items we had asked him to book. He answered all of our questions about the area.

The accommodations were what we expected...It is a tree house. The porch provided a great place to sit and play cards or just talk. There was enough distance between the tree houses that we felt we were all alone. Mark and Lucy were always available for a chat and to answer questions.

The breakfasts were amazing and they made arrangements for our picky eater that didn't want to try the local cuisine. The drive into La Fortuna was about 30 minutes but it was pretty and enjoyable.

Our favorite place was sitting out on the porch and listening to the birds, bugs and rain showers.

My 8 year-old daughter and I just returned from Costa Rica, where we spent the first two nights in Treehouse #1, and I must say in a nutshell, the glowing reviews are all accurate. Mark and Lucy were fab. One, or both of them, were always there to help out, answer questions, and make our stay a good one. I'm a lover of good breakfasts, and there was no compromises here. Fresh fruits, authentic tico, or alternative kids cereals were available, fresh and tasty. The only thing downside to feeling truly back to nature is the unavoidable truck noises from the nearby(500m?) road in the mornings, although most of the time the beautiful sounds of birds resonated. Didn't try the beds up in the loft, but the queen(?) bed on the main level was very comfy.

We would definitely like to return to this little piece of paradise. Thanks, again, Mark and Lucy (and owners!).

I really don't know what to say about the tree houses hotel. Our stay was perfect. Mark and Lucy are really friendly, helpful and fun to talk with. They planned our excersions and we would not have made it to Monteverde without them. The treehouse itself was so much nicer then I could have even imagined (the shower was nicer than the one in my apartment). The private hiking grounds are scenic and peaceful (and there are monkeys!). HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
