Friendly and helpful staff make check-in pleasant. Large cabins with cathedral ceilings are well appointed and modern. Ask for a cabin on the perimeter as opposed to inside the property. Outside table on covered “porch” provide nice outside sitting area, including when it rains. Solid WiFi. In-room safe. While the cabins are surprisingly spacious, the property is smaller then expected, but affords privacy. The big bonus of this property is the hot springs which are presented in a series of cascading pools. Some pools are small and quite private nestled in vegetation. There is also a cold water “normal” pool, a hot tub pool, and a cold water plunge pool. Nice landscaping, and plenty of flowing water to provide a sense of place. Peeks of the Arenal I volcano throughout, although not from the cabins. Breakfast is plentiful and fresh. Restaurant has medium range of items for lunch and dinner. Service is attentive, and they do their best. Provides for a good base to explore the region, come back to the hot springs after a long day in nature.

This was our first stop in Costa Rica for Thanksgiving 2018. We absolutely loved it. The staff was amazing and super helpful. The breakfast was delicious. There is so much to do nearby, however if you're looking for a place to relax this is also the place. The hot spring pool with a bar/restaraunt that is open till late was one of the highlights of our entire trip! The hot water springs was super relaxing after a long day of travel and a warm welcome to Costa Rica. The only thing I never saw in a review was the fact that you can not flush any toilet paper in the toilets. Any toilet paper. So, you're literally wiping and throwing it in the trash in the bathroom where it stays until housekeeping comes in the morning. Despite that, I still give it 5 stars. However, it just would have been nice to know that ahead of time, so I'm telling you:) Enjoy your stay. It was the best stay of our 11 day vacation with 4 hotels!

Dear Sharon!

Thank you for that nice review! We are so glad you liked the staff service and the surroundings! Its great to hear you had a relaxing time staying with us, that is one of our goals!

The sewer systmes in Costa Rica are different, so flushing paper will probably cause unwanted overfloding, thats why we asked our costumbres to help us with that, to make sure you dont have to go trough that.

We hope you come again to visit

This was our first destination in Costa Rica and we absolutely loved it. As previous reviewers have mentioned, there are fun activities for children plus a very family-friendly staff. We practically had our favorite on-site hot spring to ourselves every time we used it, which was typically two to three times daily. My personal highlight was the spa and it should absolutely not be missed! What wonderful tranquility, plus a break from the chaos and noise of traveling with children. Thank you to everyone on staff who made our stay so enjoyable.

Room tip: I'm not sure if there is a "bad room", but we preferred the higher numbered cabin which are closer to the hot springs.

My family just stayed for 4 nights and we LOVED it. We have two small boys and the staff were so warm and friendly to them. We got into a routine of watching birds while eating breakfast (complimentary, very fresh, and filling), milking the cows (my son is asking about Alejandro every day because he was so patient with him) , taking a morning dip in the hot springs on site (very clean, secluded, variety of pools), collecting eggs from the chickens, riding the donkey, and then going for a hike nearby (location is a great base for exploring all that Arenal has to offer) before coming back for naps (my time to escape to the amazing spa on site- don’t miss it and fully indulge) and dinner followed by an evening dip in the springs. It was quiet, peaceful, and very relaxing. Thanks to all the staff who made our trip amazing.

Our family of 5 (3 kids) spent 6 nights in the resort and absolutely loved it. We travel a lot with and without kids and this place by far is making the top of the list.

Rooms - such a nice touch to have a separate house for each family. makes it a great experience. A patio with chairs and a table is a great place to have a snack, play board games or read the book. Beds are super comfortable.

Grounds - extremely well take caren of. You really get a feel of being in Costa Rica there - a lot of nature (plants and birds).

Springs/Pool - we used the pool and the springs every day. All very well taken care of - the water is clean, no leaves floating and super well decorated with little waterfalls. Springs have differnt temperature so you can go from one to another and pick the right one for you.

Restaurant - staff is amazing. Food is fresh and great and super tasty. We got to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner there. all were impressive.

Spa - a great experience with personal Springs shower, great products and very good and professional service

Farm - there is on site farm with cows, chickens, horses and a donkey. Kids go to milk cows and absolutely loved it. And you get all the fresh diary from the farm - hence our omelettes in the morning were amazing:)

Staff - !!! we traveled a lot and are used to a good service. I have to say that my bar went up by a lot after this trip. People are amazing!!!! They are extremely nice, knowledgeable and helpful. They are always there to help and make it so natural. The trips they helped us book were great and super tailored to our family (kids of different ages, naps, etc). They have a contact for a guy who comes over and picks up laundry and brings it back in 4 hours - super helpful especially with a lot of rains in the region.

I think I can go on and on on this hotel, people and grounds. But overall - go there and check for yourself! We are definitely be back and already refereed friends to this place.
