Cosy Cabin in the rainforest

Arenal Oasis was very cozy and quiet, we had no neighbors. The cabin is lovely and the shower had lots of hot water. The Frog tour at night is right on the grounds and is 2 hours long and our guide was very knowledgeable. We saw lots of frogs, large spiders, night birds, moths, lizards and other fascinating insects. Our 8 year old grandson was in heaven.
The breakfast is adequate but the lunch and dinner menu is well worth the price. We ate there twice. The restaurant staff are very accommodating., We had to leave early to catch shuttle to Tortoguero and they arrived early to prepare our breakfast.

Ok- damned with faint praise.

Basic accommodation although clean and adequate. The restaurant is in a small clearing in the forest so attracts biting insects. However it was pleasant to watch beautiful birds come and feed on the fruit put out for them. Restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. The wildlife reserve was interesting and we enjoyed walk around the foot of the volcano before going to the hot springs.

Frog Night walk Tour

We made the night walk tour with our guide Isaac and it was absolutely fantastic. See lot of frogs with wonderful colors. Isaac had a lot of knowledge about the flora and fauna so we learnt so much with him. Definitely the highlight of our trip.

A wonderful stay in the rainforest

Arenal Oasis is perfectly named - a little oasis of rainforest that has escaped the land clearing which has happened all around it.
We can't say enough good things about this place and the lovely people who work there.
We echo all the very positive comments made by previous reviewers.
Highly recommended!

Beautiful location

Accommodations were great and breakfasts were excellent. We stayed six days in June and enjoyed using as a base for Arenal/La Fortuna activities. Staff was very friendly, especially Daniel at breakfast. The only cons we found was that the shower had an usually awkward high step to get into(maybe it was only intended to be a bath originally?) and the wifi was spotty at best. In order to check emails or check places online, we would need to walk down to the eating area or the main office.There was no AC, but we never missed it. I would, however, stay there again. It was a beautiful location.
