We stayed in a lovely cabin with amazing views of Arenal Volcano for two nights. Felt like we were camping out, albeit in the safety of a very spacious, clean room with fridge. Located 8km out of town, opposite the steak restaurant. Not very impressed with check-in. Receptionist seemed to be otherwise distracted and information given was rather rushed. Our waitress at breakfast was friendly and good humoured, particularly at our limited amount of Spanish. Breakfast was good; pancakes served at the weekend.
Hotel is within easy access to the Hanging Bridges of Arenal and the Lava Trail in Arenal National Park. If you want a spa experience would recommend The Spring Resort and Spa.
There are many eating establishments in town - the Lava Lounge Bar and Grill is a good place to chill. Brightly lit, popular, good value for money, serving fajitas and burgers.More
