“Great hotel in La Fortuna”
Reviewed 11 March 2014

My stay at Casa Luna was great and would recommend it to anyone that is considering traveling to La Fortuna. The grounds were well kept and the view of the volcano was spectacular. My room was clean and spacious and the staff was great- breakfast was awesome, don’t miss it! The distance from the main square is not far, you can take a cab ride that may run you about $4 US dollars or about $2-3 Colons, you can also consider walking if you want to explore 10-20 min walk. Great stay overall.

The hotel/rooms were very pretty and clean. The staff was friendly. We had several tours planned that we enjoyed and wish we'd have had another day and transportation to go into town and to the waterfall we heard about from other traveler's. Since they are a distance from town and the restaurant is not open all the time make sure you bring drinks/snacks. We had a fridge in our room. I was looking for a vending machine or wish they had a small convenience store more than once! Might be nice if they rented scooters or ATV's to get into town or for the much longer than 5 minute walk to the waterfall. The breakfast was edible but I wouldn't brag about it. We had the rest of our meals on the tours so I can't comment on those. They had beautiful grounds and a pool with a swim up bar (although I never saw anyone-staff or guests there)-it was a bit chilly for swimming to me but a hot tub would have been nice. It might get more use in warmer months I guess. Sort of like early summer at home-low 70's I'd guess. Nice balcony/porch to sit on and enjoy the weather or a good book. Nice view of the volcano. We had 2 nights here, 2 in monte verda and 3 at the Riu on the beach. Would have loved one more day here and one more on the beach and skipped monte verde.

Room Tip: 2nd story might have been nice but not sure there was a bad room...not from anyone I talked to anywa...

Dear Guest;
We appreciate your comment, we are really happy to know that we reach your expectations and a little bit more, that is our main goal every day. We look forward to see you back at Casa Luna Hotel & Spa.
We are working to have a convenience store at the Front Desk and Minibar in the rooms; should be ready at the end of the month. Thanks for your feedback; this is very important for us.

This was easily one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, amazing view if the volcano, beautifully kept grounds, gardens and pool. The staff were very welcoming and the food was great. Just sad I couldn't stay for longer!

This hotel is lovely. Stayed here for two nights as part of a tour with CRT Team. The rooms are great and when we stepped out onto the balcony we couldn't believe it. It was like being in paradise. The view of the volcano was amazing. Fortunately we had no cloud so had great views the whole time. The gardens are beautiful and the pool and pool bar area is fantastic. Swimming listening to the birds and toucans flying overhead just added the cherry on the top. We only wish we had stayed here longer so that we could try out the spa and more of the excursions that the hotel can organise. We didn't eat in the restaurant at night as we were out but, it offered a lovely buffet style breakfast with egg/omelette station and everything else that you would expect.

A very nice hotel with great customer service. The rooms are a little small, but have large balconies with a beautiful view (if you're in the room often then you're doing something wrong!). The grounds are beautiful including a pool, spa and adjacent trail. The included breakfast was delicious and offered a lot of variety. Other meals are more expensive here than if you go into town, but the food is good and the restaurant staff is great. The location offers a fantastic view, but does require cabs to get everywhere (only $5 into town). Anything you need, they will take care of at the front desk. They are really helpful here. I had a massage which was lovely and very relaxing against the natural sounds of nature.

Room Tip: All the rooms had balconies with a view of the mountains. Amazing!

A beautiful place to relax and enjoy. Couldn't ask for better accommodations. We stayed here as part of a package trip put together by Latin Destinations. We were more than pleased with this place. We'll tell our friends.

We really enjoyed our stay (too short) at Casa Luna. The hotel staff was gracious and accomodating. Our room was clean, with a great view. The grounds were beautiful-great flora- and well maintained. We hope to return!
