Lovely little hacienda on a coffee plantation ...now hotel. Beautiful intimate dining room, well maintained magnificent grounds at the base of the volcano. The hotel is older and some of the rooms do not have air conditioning. Apparently, this is not unusual in Costa Rica when staying at an authentic Costa Rican hotel. We had a suite and I would recommend it if you are used to nicer accommodations. It did have A/C. The service was wonderful. Lovely pool area with hot tub. It is a great retreat after a busy day of activities. The horses on the grounds are beautiful and enjoyable to watch. A definite recommendation if you are staying the the Turrialba area.
