“Rain forest walk must-do”
Reviewed 20 November 2013

The walk is 3km long and you walk in a loop. It crosses over 16 hanging bridges and goes to the very bottom of the rain forest and then to the tips of the trees. We walked on our own because we are photographers and wanted to spend more time. The bridges are SAFE. Really safe. Take bug repellent. Wear good hiking boots because the shady areas can be slippery. We saw amazing wild life, rows of leave cutting ants, beautiful birds and the views into the canyons from the high bridges is spectacular. Walk down to the WATERFALL: spectacular. I would not take young children with me. I think they would get bored.

“Nice area, nice hike”
Reviewed 20 November 2013

Hubby and did this tour without a guide and we got to see plenty of wildlife and plants that made this an interesting place to visit.
I have mixed feelings on guides and depending on where we go and what we expect to do/see/learn usually dictates whether we opt for a guide. For us, we felt this would just be a cool walk, sometimes above the canopy with some good views and that's what we got. We did see a few different birds, a yellow viper, some centipedes and of course howler monkeys along with a beautiful waterfall and a diverse mix of plants and trees to view.
We don't do well on inclines and felt that overall the hike was easy enough. there was only one section that was steep enough to make us take a small break in between.

“Nice Nature Hike, with guide”
Reviewed 12 November 2013

Understand that this is a nature hike, the same that you could have in similar parks in the area. The bridges just make the hike a little easier. And they have very good guides.
Yes, you walk thru the tops of the trees on some bridges, but the hillsides are steep enough that you see the tops of many trees anyway. We saw most of the activity from the walkways (which is most of the walk), not from the bridges.
The guides are very good - this is their park and they know where the animals hang out and have a lot of info.
Early morning or later afternoon is best for more birds, btw.

Reviewed 8 November 2013

This was a nice tour.. not too long and enjoyable. Our tour guide was super knowledgeable on everything from plants to birds and any other animal. He really knew his stuff! One of the bridges was really high up and FUN! The property is beautiful and you get amazing views of the Arenal Volcano.

“Cool at dusk”
Reviewed 6 November 2013

We enjoyed the entire park in one day, and got to the bridges at dusk. From there we could see monkeys in the trees and listen to the jungle noises.
