Owner description: We are a company that offers personalized service. After working for 13 years for large tour companies in Costa Rica, we decided it was time to start our own business. We are now able to give our clients the personal service they need to make their stay in Costa Rica a fabulous one. We specialize in packages in the Guanacaste Region but we also arrange tours and packages to other parts of Costa Rica. We would be happy to quote you a price for your customized tour.

“Worry Free Transfers and Tours!”
Reviewed 13 July 2014

After reading various review about Maleku Tours on trip advisor, I contacted Eugenia by email regarding transfers from Liberia's airport to our hotel. We had 5 people in our group and most other services charged a lot per person. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Maleku charged one price for all of us roundtrip that was less than 2 people would have cost with other companies. Eugenia responded to my emails almost immediately and in a professional yet extremely friendly manner. Once we got to Liberia, our driver was there with a sign and we zipped off to the hotel in a beautiful van with plenty of room for all our luggage. I emailed a few days later and set up a tour of Palo Verde National Park. Eugenia accompanied us and really made the trip fun. You can trust these people and I will use their services again when I return to Costa Rica. Everyone we interacted with was wonderful!!! Thank you Eugenia from the Smith Family.

“Excellent Service - Both Airport and Tours”
Reviewed 11 July 2014

Maleku Tours did a great job. Eugenia picked us up from the airport and took us to the hotel. Worked with her for various tours and information within Costa Rica. Great personalized service on tours. She knew all of the people for the tours we went on, Canopy tours (Zip lining) and Palos Verde River tour. Worked with the workers at those sites to get us first rate service and always seemed to be on tours first and get great service. Eugenia was a safe driver, which was important to for my wife and two boys. She was always punctual and communicated with us throughout the vacation. For those speaking English, Eugenia and her husband Geiner are fluent in English. Great vacation made that much better with first rate service.

“Excellent personalized tour and airport transfers!”
Reviewed 10 July 2014

Bravo Maleku Tours! They were one of three tour companies we worked with in Costa Rica, and their service was outstanding. Our group of four used Maleku for transfers to and from Liberia airport and for a personal tour to the Corobici River and Las Pumas Rescue Center. The service at all times was exceptional, our guide knowledgeable and friendly, and their prices reasonable. They were able to arrange our excursion on a day not offered by the bigger companies, which was well worth the additional cost. I highly recommend them! Pura Vida!

“Great Tour Guides!!!”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

Maleku Tours picked us up from the airport and made us feel comfortable and at home in Costa Rica. They also took us on a tour of the Palo Verde National Park and a real life jungle cruise in which we saw crocodiles, lizards, bats, many birds and two types of monkeys in their natural habitat! My family will never forget this wonderful experience! Maleku tours also took us on an adventure day in which we rode horses, ziplined, had a volcanic mud bath and got to relax in hot springs and even got a massage. Every tour was private and we got front if the line access to all the activities. Their tours include informative and kind guides and they always made sure we were comfortable and we had a delicious Costa Rican meal to enjoy. I really recommend their services. My family and I felt safe, cared for, comfortable and entertained. The tours and shuttle with Maleku tours were also the most reasonably priced we could find.

“Just sit back and enjoy the ride!”
Reviewed 9 July 2014 via mobile

There's a reason why Maleku Tours is rated so highly. They are extremely professional, courteous and friendly. Their prices were competitive and we liked that their tours were private. We just returned from a seven day vacation in late June and had hired them for airport transfers and 2 excursions. I had read the reviews on them and decided to contact Eugenia about a week before our trip. She replied promptly to my email and I soon booked our airport transfers to and from the Andaz as well as for the Palo Verde boat tour. Our flights from San Diego were both delayed getting us into Liberia an hour and a half late. Despite the late hour, Geiner, Eugenia's husband was waiting for us with our name on a sign. We rode in a comfortable, clean and nicely air-conditioned van. On the way to the hotel, Geiner told us a little bit about Costa Rica. He dropped us off at the front of our hotel and so began our vacation.

After taking a day to get acclimated, we were picked up promptly in the morning by Eugenia for our Palo Verde tour. All along the route she would tell us about the little towns we passed and Costa Rica in general. Sometimes she would stop to point out wildlife. Our boat tour on the Tempisque river was excellent as we saw all kinds of wildlife - crocodiles, monkeys, birds, etc. We had such a fun time - even the mosquitoes couldn't spoil our fun. Speaking of fun, Eugenia and Geiner epitomize the Pura Vida spirit. You can tell they are proud of their country and love what they do. They are also great with kids and would joke around with our two boys. During the first excursion we went ahead and booked a second one - the Adventure tour at Rincon de la Vieja for the next day.

Geiner picked us up this time and took us to the foot of the volcano for our Adventure day which included horseback riding, ziplining and hot springs. Geiner was so generous to offer to take pictures and videos of us throughout the tour using our camera. The Adventure day was according to my son, "the funnest day ever!" Before dropping us off at the hotel, Geiner even stopped so we could pick up some snacks for the hotel and souvenirs to bring home. The next two days were spent at the hotel until our extremely early morning checkout for our flight back home. Again, Geiner was there early, well before our 4:15am pick up. Taking the excursions with Maleku Tours made our vacation so memorable and enjoyable. We literally sat back and enjoyed the ride! Also, we learned so much more about Costa Rica than if we rented a car ourselves and did the tours on our own. Thank you so much Eugenia and Geiner!
