We are a family of four and enjoyed our stay here and found it to be a god bargain. The hotel is just off the main drag, so was quiet but convenient. The gated parking allowed us to rest easy, and the rooms were large enough for us to spread out. Best of all was the service. Isabella was friendly, and served an excellent breakfast, with fresh fruit, smoothies to die for, and the typical Costa Rican fare.

Our family of 4 from Merritt, BC, Canada took a trip to Liberia for 2 weeks. Hotel Javy was our last stop. When we arrived we had a very warm welcome with fresh fruit and smoothies. They picked the mangos from their tree right outside the hotel. They put us up in the huge room with 4 very comfortable beds. It was great, everyone had their own bed. The staff was very friendly. Isabel was a super host. She treated us like we were one of the family. Isabel if you are reading this you are awesome person.

Room Tip: Top corner rooms are very large. There were 4 of us and we had a bed each.

We stayed here for 2 nights (one at beginning of trip, one at end) and did so because of the reviews on Tripadvisor. Each time we arrived we were greeted with a plate of fruit and and mango smoothie and Isabella's wonderful smile. Our 5 year old son "fell in love with her". He still tells everyone about how she got up at 4AM the morning we were leaving to catch our plane, to prepare us a plate of fruit and drink. We also loved the dinners she made (fish with rice and beans, vegetables and a nice plate of salad) as well as a fruit smoothie and all of the for $4!

We stayed here on the first night of our 10 day Costa Rican trip.I was travelling alone with my 13 year old son.The hotel is safe and clean with really pleasant guests.
The best part of the place is Isabella who has the most radiant smile. My son said he will never forget her smile even after all we did and saw in the 10 days(Thats a high compliment after all that zip lining)The rooms were simple and clean with loads of hot water. The AC was really powerful. It had a remote so I could fiddle with it from the bed.
Breakfast was plentiful and yummy. We accidentally left all out electronics in a drawer the first night and they were securely put aside for us until we came back to pick them up 9 days later. All my e-mails were promptly answered. You will be very well taken care of if you stay here and honestly Isabella's smile is a Costa Rican wonder!

Room Tip: We stayed in 207.Second floor made me feel safe. We arrived late at night.

On June 9th we received a call that my mother-in-law had been in a serious accident and was rushed to the hospital in Liberia. We immediately made plans to fly to Liberia the next day. I then turned to Trip Advisor to find a hotel we could stay in to be near her. We decided on Hotel Javy and made a late night call to reserve a very affordable room. That decision turned out to be a true blessing!
From the moment we entered the lovely courtyard with a large mango tree, a gazebo and a cooling fountain, we felt we were in the right place. We were greeted with a warm smile by Carla and given a refreshing plate of fresh, cool tropical fruit. We were shown to a large spotlessly clean room with fluffy towels and a hot shower. That evening we met Isabel our lovely host. When she heard of our situation she offered pillows for our mother, as the hospitals do not provide them. This was just the beginning of the kindness and hospitality we were shown over the three weeks we stayed.
Each morning we were served a free hearty breakfast of fruit and gallo pinto lovingly prepared by Carla and Yadira. In the evening, Isabel would serve us a delicious dinner, with salad and a refreshing drink for a small fee. She would go over our day with us and offer encouragement. Don Heriberto kept the place running and humming, and Ezekiel faithfully watched for my husband’s early morning returns from the hospital.
We observed all the guests being treated with the upmost respect and hospitality. We were cared for as if we were family. Isabel along with Carla and Yadira, not only took care of our physical needs but offered their concern, support and a listening ear at one of the most difficult times in our lives and for that we shall always be grateful. We will always treasure their friendship.
If you are as fortunate as we were to stay here, you will be privy to the true treasure of Costa Rica- the goodness of its people. Pura Vida!

We chose Hotel Javy based on Trip Advisor reviews. Javier was very quick to reply to my email questions and helpful with the reservation process. He also offered to make our taxi arrangements, which was very helpful.
When we arrived we were met by Carla and Isabel and served a plate of delicious fresh fruit and glass of mango smoothie.
Carla and Isabel were both very kind and helpful during our stay.
Our room was nice and very clean. Also the rest of the hotel areas were neat and clean!
We had an early morning flight and appreciated being served fresh fruit and glass of mango smoothie at 5:00 AM!
We took a walk around town and did not find it too far from the hotel.
Even though we were there for just one night, we were made to feel right at home!

I looked up this hotel for my husband and a friend. They drove from Texas and were ready for some comfort food and a good nights sleep.

Jerry pulled in a little past time to get a meal, but the proprietor kindly offered to cook. She prepared two large fish dinners that were delicious. Their room was very nice with three beds.

Jerry slept well, then enjoyed a mango smoothie with huge servings for breakfast. Both ate to their hearts content and even had extra for his friend to take for his bus ride back to Guatemala.

Gated and very secure for your vehicles. Very clean, friendly, and you get your money's worth. We highly recommend Hotel Javy!
