Enjoyed breakfast on the deck overlooking the beach and palm trees, despite being accompanied by one of the "time share" reps. Can't speak to the cost or value factor, since this was a perk for attending the presentation. My Mexican breakfast was attractively presented and very good. Accompanying friend enjoyed her selection of their American breakfast.

You must go for Happy Hour and watch the sunset from their spectacular little spot on the beach!! The drinks are great and 2 for 1 during Happy Hour.

The setting is nice right on the beach. But really the chicken and the shrimps croquettes tasted and looked like McDonald's stuff. And for $9 each with six little balls of grease each. Terrible

It's a time share trap and a ripoff. Even worse, one of sales people cursed my wife and challenged me to a fight when I defended her. He was either drunk or on drugs. STAY AWAY.

The village of Playa del Coco was disappointing (tourist trap, dirty, boring) but stumbling onto Cafe de Playa was like finding a sand dollar on the beach. We drove past it several times before finding it. The atmosphere was serene, peaceful, decorated in modern furniture (fuchsia and white), and it was right on the beach, coconut trees and all. The sunset view was out of this world! My husband and I ordered two mojitos and they came in big, tall glasses -- yum! I also ordered a margarita that was yum, yum! For food, we ordered garlic shrimp that came in crock with melted butter, an empanada, and bacon-wrapped mushrooms. We watched people job by with their small children and dogs and loved the sunset view. Very romantic. True gem at Playa del Coco.
