“Good Local food”
Reviewed 19 June 2014

We ate here our last night. Wanted to have local food. The food is simple but tasty. We had Casado and chicken and rice. Service was great and the price was good.

“Delicious”
Reviewed 15 March 2014

Looking for good local food in Playa Samara? This is the place. The decor is simple, in traditional Costa Rican style, but the food and the service was great. The owner Manuel was friendly and accommodating. Most of us ate the very generous casado plate, some with chicken, some with fish and I had the vegetarian plate. The food was fresh and delicious. He even brought out a chayote and told us how it is prepared (we asked - it was that good). When we return to Playa Samara, we will return to Jardin Marino, without a doubt.

“Perfecto”
Reviewed 12 March 2014 via mobile

Stopped in with the family for lunch. The server greeted us with a huge smile, welcome plus a high chair. The Casado was excellent especially the mango salsa. The Natural drinks are also fantastic plus the view of the you boy juggling the bladder of a soccer ball on the field across the street made my day. He is another Brian Oviedo and epl good
A simple genuine place with very friendly staff and good atmosphere. See you next time Ticos!

“Did what it said on the tin”
Reviewed 2 February 2014

It was a perfectly OK meal, the price was OK and the service was pleasant but there was nothing to set the taste buds on fire. My Veg Casado was fresh but SOO plain. His chicken with mush sauce was perfectly OK. The wine was not good and more expensive than we paid elsewhere for better. A serviceable place lacking atmosphere - difficult to be enthusiastic about it although there was nothing specifically wrong.

“The Best Restaurant in Samara”
Reviewed 19 January 2014

This is a family owned restaurant. Manuel is there from Breakfast till 11 PM, He is there to serve your every need. If it's not on the menu, and they have the makings in the kitchen, they prepare it for you. I was yearning for guacamole and chips so he whipped some up with the Best chips.Their portion sizes are BIG and they have the best chicken and rice anywhere in Samara and the best whole fresh whole sea bass. Their breakfasts and lunches are nice and authentic also. I have been in Samara for 3 weeks now and this is the restaurant we keep going back to.
