“One of the nicest spots in Tamarindo”

Blue Lagoon blew me away! It was as close to the beach as you can get anywhere in Tamarindo. When you're in the garden you are just steps away from the sand. Truly what anyone wants when they come for a taste of Tamarindo. It's also in a quieter area of the beach so you have the sense of being more secluded, yet it's just a short beach walk away from all the amenities on the strip in Tamarindo.

Other than the location, the place is run by the most fantastic hosts imaginable, a couple who is genuinely invested in making sure we had the best time possible. A+!

“Best Beachfront Spot in Tamarindo!”

The Blue Lagoon Beach Front Oasis lived up to the TripAdvisor posting and then some! The location is the best you could hope for on Tamarindo Beach, the garden is lush and meticulously manicured, and the house is perfect. I especially loved the beachfront gate opening out onto the quieter southern end of beautiful Tamarindo beach. As the Trip Advisor posting says, it is secluded and very private, but you’re only a short walk to all the best that Tamarindo has to offer. Just follow the beach!

This was my first time visiting Costa Rica so I didn’t know what to expect location-wise, but this spot was ideal. Plus Jim and Tiziana offered us some great key tips on local restaurants, customs, and Tamarindo’s hidden gems. I learned a lot about Pilates and overall health from the incredibly gifted Tiziana, and Jim is an all-around amazing guy with fascinating stories from around the world. Staying at the Blue Lagoon was a fantastic experience and made my first trip to Costa Rica a best case scenario - I’ll definitely be a returning guest!

We loved our week stay (Jan. 14-21) so much we booked another week at Blue Lagoon – that says it all. But here goes.

Location – Arriving at Blue Lagoon and watching the beautiful wooden gates open you immediately get the “Ahhh” feeling. We can’t say enough about the beauty of the ½ acre “get away” – lush tropical landscape (full time gardener/handyman on site) and off course the grounds are filled with wonderful tropical wildlife and flowers. Walled on three sides (host provides electronic front gate opener so you can come and go at your leisure) and beautiful iron gate leads to the beach – the property is directly on the beach – but like the neighboring residential properties is hidden in the tropical jungle to preserve the natural beauty of the area – no high rises sticking out amongst the beauty of the landscape. It is perfect – We are regular travelers to Hawaii and the Mayan Riviera,MX and this setting is awesome – from the no car needed (easy and delightful walk to town), friendly locals (just about everyone speaks English), top-notch swimming and surfing beach and the overall cleanliness of the area to the perfection of the apartment hideaway and the graciousness of the hosts – Highly Recommended

The apartment is above a 2 car garage /work shop which provides the utmost privacy – about a 15 step outdoor climb (after you pass your outdoor shower to wash off the salt water) to a beautiful large porch area where we ate breakfast every morning. You are sitting within the canopy and enjoying the awakening of the tropics with all those exotic sounds from the birds and monkeys. This is one beautiful porch setting to relax – amazing teak wood ceiling, dimmable lighting and ceiling fan. Also a small clothes line to hang your much-used swimwear on to dry for the next days beach outing.

The apartment lacked nothing. Fully accessorized kitchen as we cooked our own dinners 90% of our stay – even had a Nutribullet blender to utilize the awesome local fruit to make smoothies. A/C in living area and the bedroom worked fine – but with ceiling fans combined w/ wide opening living area windows the A/C was rarely used. Two big couches provide plenty of space to spread out. Apple TV and flat screen Sony TV has the major networks, CNN, Fox, Espn, BBC and others in English. The entire ceiling of the apartment is amazing – teak and beams. The apartment is clean, comfortable, quite and private – but amazing for the tropics – we never experienced any unwanted pest (bugs/ants) inside. Never ran out of hot water and yes we drank the water. Perfect host communication.
