“Excellent beach location for drinks”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

We only stopped here for drinks while awaiting the shuttle back tothe JW Marriott that leaves from the front of the restaurant. The setting on Tamarindo beach was beautiful and made for a realxing couple of hours of afternoon cocktails.

La Palapa provided a nice break from the somewhat cheezy main street of Tamarindo with its numeous hawkers selling whistles and bowls.

The mojitos were great!!!

“Very good food with average beach atmosphere”
Reviewed 18 July 2014

Had dinner here on our first night in Tamarindo. The food was excellent. I'm going to say it's the best in town but it was very good none the less. The atmosphere was average at best, but it's possibly due to the fact that it was a Monday night. But really no big deal. It was a fun and relaxing night for the family after traveling in from the rain forest area for five hours. I can say that I highly recommend the Walnut crusted whole red snapper. It was excellent! My daughter had the steak and said it was really good as well. So when speaking of the food itself. We would give these guys the thumbs up!

Had dinner here with friends our last night in Tamarindo and enjoyed it thoroughly. We were looking for local lobster, and boy did we find it!

“Beach-Front Terrace”
Reviewed 26 June 2014

The food was pretty good; the terrace was right on the beach with gorgeous views of the Pacific. The only dislike was that souvenir hawkers kept bothering us as we tried to eat. Management should keep them out.

“Good food and great view”
Reviewed 19 June 2014 via mobile

We ate here for dinner and watched the sun set over the water. Our table was directly on the beach and we were greeted with complementary White Russians while we looked at the menu. The mojitos were the best we had in town and the food was very good also. I had spicy chicken over rice and the wife had a spicy tuna. Both of us enjoyed our dinner. Relaxing while watching the sun dip into the ocean made for a very nice evening.
