“Charming and relaxing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 January 2014

We stayed four nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms were rustic and charming. Teresa and Sergio were wonderful hosts and gave us the best tips on how to enjoy the beautiful variety of beaches. We had a car so their tips were extremely useful. For a busy and loud party town, our experience slightly off the main road was peaceful and quiet. In the early morning, a walk to the beach for coffee was minutes away. Eating breakfast in the garden with the rest of the family was wonderful.

Made mistake of staying over Xmas. Hotel is extremely over priced doing high season.
CONS-
Rooms are old and in need of many repairs (some only need small repairs but are not done) Only deluxe rooms at $98.00 per night have a small refrig and 5 yr old tv. Only furniture in rooms was bed(broken) and small dresser (also broken). Deluxe room to have ac which worked poorly for me. There was a constant fecal/ sewage smell outside.
Breakfast ONLY served from 8am to 9:30am is a small serving of fruit and 2 slices of bread or fruit and 2 small pancakes. Advertised coffee all day but was not true, frequently was out.
When I tried to use communal kitchen it was being use by hotel client to make food for his business.
Hotel is Located off main drag, on VERY dusty dirt road that is a heavily traveled.

PRO-
Tamanrido has nice surfing.
While staff (Teresa and Sergio) were pleasant but they practiced little or no control over rowdy clients.

I would not stay here again and would not recommend to friends.

we stayed 17 nights and it was amazing..... Both Sergio and Teresa was very helpful..... we both enjoyed our stay and will definitely going back in future. this B&B is about 10 minutes walk from main Tamarindo beach and is far enough from loud nighlife..... Sergios pancakes was great too....

Room Tip: stayed in room 6 and love it.....

We loved this B&B. We arrived in Tamarindo with plans to stay in a hostel, but the one we checked into first was disappointing and far from the beach. We shopped around and found Hotel Mamiri. We were greeted by a young boy who showed us our room options. It was pricier than a the hostel but the added benefit of A/C, private bathroom, free breakfast each morning, and coffee available all day made the cost worth it. It is family owned and operated and they were extremely kind and welcoming. Each morning they made sure we had everything we needed and were extremely helpful regarding questions and recommendations for activities and food.

Room Tip: We stayed in an apartment room, it was awesome...kitchen, a/c, bathroom, 2 floors.

This is a great little hotel located right in Tamarindo, Costa Rica that had clean rooms, AC, fridge, TV and hot showers. The owners are very accommodating and even invited us for a day of sailing on their boat. The hotel had excellent service and a great breakfast included in the very competitive rate. Not a single complaint about this hotel.

This is a great place for relaxing! Our room was extremely spacious, it was like having your own house. It is just a 2 minute walk to the night life and about a 5 minute walk to the beach. The hosts are extremely friendly and there is always coffee. The room and hotel was simply beautiful! I wish I could stay there forever!
