“Not amazing.”
Reviewed 16 March 2013 via mobile

So, I'm the first to sing praises and rarely am negative. I will start with the pros;

1- Staff was very helpful and kind. We checked in later and the gentleman was very nice!

2- Breakfast was so good!! The cook/waitress was so sweet and even went out of her way to quickly get my pregnant wife some food before she got sick!

3- Location is amazing, so close to everything in Tamarindo! And Priced pretty good.

Con;

1- the room was very outdated and did not seem very clean. There were some bugs and it just wasn't a very comfortable room. We felt like there were bedbugs...it was a really big room but just not a good fit for us.

Overall, the stay was fine but I would not recommend this spot to any of our friends (I can't writing negative reviews...)

Comfortable and relaxing with loads of charm! The staff goes out of its way to make you feel special. The morning breakfast is fantastic and the kitchenette helps the budget-conscious. A supermarket down the street is extra convenient. Perfect location -- close to bars and restaurants, but still quiet!

Great Place to stay and relax. Very peaceful. Every morning, we had our breakfast on the second floor. juices, Tasty fruits, Eggs with toast, coffee or tea. Supermarkets are very close, the beach is at 5mn from the hotel. The staff is very friendly and professional. We had a large room with a kitchen so we could cook our fishes that we daily bought from the fisherman, situated near the beach. Great Mahi-Mahi, grouper, shrimps, tuna.....

We will be back,
Thank you. MERCI

Room Tip: The room with the kitchen is great and very quiet

I got here around 9 PM and the staff had waited for me to check me in. The hotel is situated off the beach but close enough for a 10 minute walk to the beach. The air conditioning was so quiet I could hardly tell it was on. The internet was faster and more reliable than when I stayed at a hotel in San Jose. My room overlooks the pool with a water cascade which makes for a pleasant water falling sound. I even watched Survivor in English on the cable TV! Overall, a wonderful stay.

Wow, this is a true gem! The staff was extremely kind. The room was clean the bed comfortable. We will definitely stay here again! Breakfast was just perfect, fruit, eggs, toast, juice and coffee. We hated to leave this hotel. This may be a small hotel, but the charm, location, staff and rooms are outstanding. It is off the Main Street, however, it is such a quick easy walk. It was nice to be away from the Main Street. If your are looking for something quiet, clean and charming, this is the place!

Room Tip: Try to get a room in the back of the hotel.

My boyfriend and I stayed here and loved it, the room we got was huge, very clean and air conditioned!The staff was friendly, helped book our reservations, get transportation and served us a filling breakfast every morning. The pool was a nice place to relax with a beer after a long day of activities. All the restaurants are walking distance & there's a grocery store down the street that you can stock up at to save some $$.

Woke up to howler monkeys roaming outside our room almost every morning and it was awesome! This B&B is about a 5 minute walk from the bustle of Tamarindo so if you're looking for a party hotel/hostel, this isn't it! But if you're looking for a relaxing place to come back to every day, this is your spot!

We stayed 5 nights at Hotel Flores and loved it. The breakfast was good, the staff friendly, rooms well kept and quiet. It is an easy walk through town to the beach and well lit at night. If you are looking for affordable, clean and lovely room and don't mind being off the beach, Hotel Flores might be for you.
