Stay here. You will not regret it! We had an incredible time during our 7 day stay at Coconut Love. Gabor and Jessica are gracious and wonderfully helpful hosts!

Our apartment was very clean (and remained so because they clean it every few days), and stocked with everything we needed to make our own dinners (a plus when you are on a budget!) There is a store down the street and a farmer's market on Sundays if you want to pick up items to prepare. We also never had any problems with our WIFI connection or hot water. We also had a car, and there was ample space to park our small SUV inside their property (side note--don't bring a large car to Cahuita in general! Smaller is better).

The location was really great; we aren't the partying type, so it was a relief to be on a quiet street that didn't feel touristy whatsoever. However, you are only a 5 minute walk away from "downtown" (Cahuita is a small place) if that is your thing. You are only a block away from Playa Negra, and again, only a 5 minute walk to Cahuita Nat'l park.

Gabor and Jessica provided us with delicious, fresh breakfast, which makes the price you are paying to stay here quite the deal. They were so helpful, and without Jessica's insider's tip we wouldn't have found a secluded beach that we frequented on our trip! They are very down to earth and took great care of us. Their property is beautiful and flourishing with local plants, making hanging out on the patio hammock all the more enjoyable.

If you are planning on coming to the Caribbean Coast, forego the tourist traps in Limon and Puerto Viejo and stay in Cahuita. And while you are in Cahuita, stay at Coconut Love!! (we booked through airbnb)

I very highly recommend this place if you plan on staying in the Cahuita area. We stayed here for 4 nights and it was very relaxing and quiet. The hosts are very welcoming and nice. It was a treat to have breakfast every morning with such delicious food and a wonderful setting, what a great way to start the day. The rooms are very well stocked with everything you should need and comfortable.

Room Tip: The bungalow was air-conditioned if that is a factor, the other room we stayed in did not however ha...

What a wonderful start to our vacation. My partner and I had the absolute pleasure of spending six days with Jessica and Gabor. We spent 5 nights in one apartment and then decided to stay another night so we got to see the other one. They are both exactly as pictured. Their place is off the beaten path and away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas. So yes you will hear the roosters and the dogs etc. The breakfast was fabulous with different options. The coffee delicious. But the real treat was the view and surroundings. Most mornings we saw hummingbirds as well as other birds. Although we knew there were other guests, seeing them at breakfast or on the pathways you could never tell. The suites are comfortable and private. The hammock the perfect place to unwind. Its about a ten minute walk to the main town but there is a super(convenience store) liquor store and bakery around the corner as well as the local bus stop if you wish to go to one of the other beaches. We would recommend and will return.

We stayed for 3 night in one of the two apartments and 1 night in the bungalow.
We highly recommend this place for the yummy breakfasts with are included in the price of the too and are worth at least 8$ each; the spacious rooms; and the wonderful hosts.
I personally preferred the apartment vs the bungalow because the kitchen is separated from the bedroom and there is a Hammock on the balcony to relax in, but the bungalow comes with a HUGE nice shower and a big bathroom.
Loved your time at Coconut Love!

We stayed at the Jasmine Suite, very spacious apartment, clean and well furnished. The terrace is great place to sit and watch the birds. The tropical garden is beautiful. Breakfast was delicious. Jessica and Gabor made us feel welcome. They provided with information on the activities are available in the area. They also recommended some restaurants, we were not disappointed. We enjoyed our stay at Coconut Love, and without any hesitation we recommend this place.

We were recommended by a friend to stay at this place and we are so glad we did as it is a hidden gem on the Caribbean coast!

A great home base for 2 nights while exploring Cahuita and the surrounding areas. We felt at ease, comfortable, safe and ready to relax. They have 2 suites, side-by-side on the garden level that are nestled on a quiet, residential, unpaved road a short walking distance from the beaches, bars and restaurants of laidback, old-school Caribbean-feel--- of Cahuita.

We loved having a modest efficiency complete with 1 bedroom, 1 bath, open kitchen-livingroom and private balcony with tropical garden views. There were even some books to enjoy in the coffee table- nice touch! The balcony is at ground level, very safe and nestled in beautiful tropical foliage complete with a table, chairs and comfy hammock. Perfect place to read, do homework and just take in the sounds of nature, local chickens, neighborhood kids playing and passing billowy clouds. Great to have the ceiling fans in the bedroom and living room for airflow. The bed is hard- like sleeping on a low futon platform. I might suggest updating this to a pillow-top mattress. We loved having a mini fridge for cold drinks and snacks, walk-in shower, sliding glass doors to balcony for fresh air.

We enjoyed the short, enjoyable walk to some of our favorites: Reggae Bar, Sobre las Olas, Miss Ediths, Cocos Bar and the french bakery, Playa Negra and Playa Blanca.

Jessica and Gabor are friendly and knowledgeable B&B owners and offer a delicious breakfast on the 2nd floor balcony overlooking the tropical garden below.

This place fills up fast as there are only 2 suites available - so we recommend booking in advance.
We look forward to coming back and highly recommend this Cahuita accommodation. Muchas gracias for your hospitality.

Room Tip: We liked the suite closest to the driveway and would put in that preference next stay.
