“Great accomodation”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 February 2012

Cozy, bungalow style rooms, with ceiing fan, no A/C, mini fridge, separate bathroom, bug screen netting around bed. Very simplistic, but met our every need. The restauarant serves up a great breakfast as part of the nightly rate, and the owner Bernadette is a tremendous cook. Bernadette, is very warm, hospitable and extremely helpful. If we were to be back in Cahuita, we would stay there again. Located about a 3 minute drive out of Cahuita along a gravel road that follows the beach. Nice to get out of the town to sleep quietly and safely. Beautifully kept grounds and a nice pool.

When you come to Suizo loco Bernadette ( the owner ) will bring you to you're room. It was our honeymoon. The room we've got had no AC. it wasn't nessesary . The room is very clean and it has an open bathroom , It has a wall between bed and bathroom but the wall is not untill the ceiling. You can make tea or coffee in the room and it has a safe and a fridge. It is a small resort about 10 or 12 rooms but it is quiet and peacefull. A place where you can relaxe in every way. The birds fly by.Leguana in the tree and the howly monkeys you cabn see and hear. Lovely place.
If you will you can eat for diner and then Bernadette will make you a meal.
Breakfast is good. First you get fresh fruit and then they ask you what you will like to have for eggs. You get coffe or tea and a fresh juice. By the restaurant you can take the binocular to look in the garden for animals or birds. Its free to take it.Also there are cards with all the animals there are in CR so you can look what you have seen....when you want something to know go to Bernadette and she will help you with her everlasting smile. This is a place we will come back to. The whole atmosfere and it is nearby beautiful beaches and a great national park.

Stayed here for 3 nights during our round trip. This hotel was absolutely a heaven and by far the best place we stayed during our holidays.
The hotel seemed to be very quiet and very well looked after. Rooms were very nice and spotless and service was perfect. Couldnt have asked for more.
Even though the owner is Swiss with no english language, dont let this put you off. She is a very nice lady and will do everything to make you feel at home.

Suizo Loco is located near to the miles long beach and within walking distance from Cahuita (20 mins). We woke up 5 every morning to see amazing birds and monkeys in the trees and take a walk on the quiet roads.
If we come back to Cahuita, I would definitely stay again in Suizo Loco.

We stayed there for two nights with our tierra verde open vouchers and found it very nice.
The best part is the lovely garden with lots of birds to be seen, howling monkeys to be heard and sloths to spot, if you get lucky. Everything is very neat and you can see they pay a lot of attention to details. We didn't try the restaurant, but it all looked good from the outside. The breakfast was also great, with eggs, fresh yummy bread and of course fruits. The host was also nice enough to give us some advice about what we can further do in our trip.
Among The negative parts is the road, with no asphalt, but then again so are all the streets in Cahuita.
Another thing we didn't enjoy was the bed, which made a lot of noise when turning from one side to the other while sleeping.

We (a family with two teenagers) just spent 8 nights at the Suizoloco Lodge and enjoyed every minute of it. We had two rooms that were situated in the same bungalow within the beautifully kept garden (lots of plants and wildlife to observe). The rooms were comfortable, clean, quiet and tastefully decorated and the included breakfast was simply delicious with a different freshly squeezed juice (often out of fruit from the garden) every morning.
Bernadette is a wonderful host with lots of valuable recommendations about the area and the sincere commitment to make your stay truly memorable by meeting your individual needs. In addition, she's a brilliant chef, so don't miss out on the opportunity to book her fabulous homemade dinner which she offers every evening.

Thank you very much to Bernadette and her whole team for giving us a phantastic time. We would certainly love to come back and enjoy more of the pura vida with you.

This resort is a gem.Without a doubt one of the best kept secret in Costa Rica. Managed to close perfection by Bernadette a very impressive and knowledgeable lady. Abundant wildlife at your doorstep, home cooked typical food, quiet and relaxed atmosphere are some of the perks that you will find at this hotel. Rooms are meticulously cleaned every day, even to North American standards. Your host Bernadette will answer any questions you have about the region and point you in the right direction to everything you may need during your stay in the area. We would recommend this resort to anyone visiting Costa Rica.
