February 13th found our group of 18 in San Jose looking forward to our 6th trip back to Rio Parismina. The first time you go or do anything is usually the most exciting. You don't know what to expect and everything is new. What keeps us coming back to Judy Heights, Rio Parismina Lodge, is even with our high expectations from the last trip they find new ways to please every time. Fernando, the Manager and Judy, the owner, are right there to answer your questions, anticipate and solve any issue and, yes, listen to your story about the "one that got away".
The boats are great, the tackle is perfect, the rooms are beautiful, the grounds magnificent, lots of food and great fishing. What's not to like?
Our group spent time in both the national park and the ocean fishing for anything that swims. Although not everyone fished Tarpon every day we did catch and release 77 Tarpon up to 150#' in four days. Great by any standard. We're sure this won't be our last trip.
