“totally relaxing place with a lot of animals around”
Reviewed 4 September 2013

Such a nice place! It was a dream to stay there for 5 days. The staff ist so kind and the bungalows are very nice with a little terrace in front. You are 300m away from the street and 600m away from the beach, which is absolutley clean and not crowded. A little and well organized minimarket is just on the way to the beach...
P.S.: If you don't like howler monkeys, bring earplugs with you ;-)

Room Tip: I think the bungalows are all very similar. We stayed in #7 ;-)

My husband and I had the great pleasure of staying at the Namuwoki Lodge in July 2012. Our guide booked a variety of places during our stay in the wonderful country of Costa Rica, but this hotel was my favorite. Private bungalows are salt and peppered on the edge of the rain forest and next to a southern Caribbean beach. The hammock and sling chair on our private porch is a place I could relax and breathe. No telling when you might see or hear a howler monkey above. The breakfast included with our stay was nice, and the coffee was wonderful. Our bungalow was not air conditioned, but the fan seemed enough. The proximity to many activities and places to see make this a great place to recharge you batteries.

This lodge is nicely located in the jungle and you wake up with the screams of monkeys. Very stylish and friendly personnel, although the breakfast has room for improvement. Large cottages, all with a porch and hammocks.

We spent two night at Namuwoki lodge and got an upgrade, we ended up in a big 3 bedroom house just for my husband and myself. The house was well equipped, though the screen on the bedroom window had a few holes and it was hard to regulate the hot water.
We loved chilling out on the terrace but the garden could be a little better maintained.
Very friendly and efficient staff, we did not try the restaurant but the menu looks nice, they have a big selection.
The pool is a bit small for all the bungalows but was well looked after.

We were there for a couple days in January, and it was incredible. You feel like you are sleeping in the middle of the jungle, but in a completely comfortable bed. It is located in a great spot between the main beaches of Limon, but is very quiet at the same time. There is a supermarket just a couple steps from the entrance.
The service is awesome, Thaima is so gentle and she can help you with whatever you need, from towels to reserving tours.
The restaurant is very good, good service and delicious food. It would be nice to have more options in the breakfast.
We are decided to go back!

Room Tip: The bungalow suite is the best option for couples. Just in front of the pool.

Went on a quick escape to the south caribbean to Namuwoki!
They have come highly recommended and it was a beautiful hotel.
Quiet, the rooms spacious and the wood décor is amazing.
Maribel and family are amazing, great service always smiling!
Lots of wildlife.
Totally recommend getting up early for sunrise, birding and after breakfast we even had a sloth pass through the property.
The only thing is that I find it is not for everyone.
There is no TV in the rooms or WIFI and little cell service.
No problem for us but I know people who can’t live without internet.
In the evenings there is very little lighting around the pool and restaurant, I recommend that you bring a flashlight or pocket torch.

Great little lodge in the middle of the jungle! We spent our last several days in Costa Rica here on the Caribbean side and we're glad we did. It was definitely one of the more relaxing parts of our trip, in comparison to the Pacific side of Costa Rica. We were well looked after, the rooms were clean and we loved the balcony for reading in the late afternoons. Just a quick 5 minute walk through the jungle and you're sea side. Lovely!
