We arrived at Jacaranda through a mix-up, and at first we loved it. That lasted for all of two days when the owner started controlling everything we were doing and telling us what we could and could not cook in a passive agressive manner. We became stressed out by the owner´s disprectfulness towards us and the way that her staff began treating us as well. The first room we had was accurately priced, but the second room we had was grossly overpriced and junky. We did not enjoy our time there the second half of our stay at all. The garden and ability to use the kitchen were the only highlights. We would definitely not recommend staying here simply because the owner proved to be overly disprespectful and full of attitude. If you´re looking for a budget option, go to the Oro Seafood Restaurant down the block where rooms are clean and simple, costing only 2500 colones per person per night owned by a really nice local Tico family.
