“Puerto Viejo's boutique hotel”

You can judge hotels on different bases, aesthetic, comfort, service, location...
Indalo Boutique Hotel has it all ... with a mega + the owners keeping this hotel on European standard.
At the second you arrive a smiley, enthousiastic couple wellcomes you and make you feel at home. Helping, advising you and sharing their CR experiences.
Cristina & Carlos thank you for your kindness. "Pura Vida"

P.S. I advice you to talk about their friend Karsten our nature/forest by day and...night guide, same vibe

We stayed at Hotel Boutique Indalo in november 2013 for 4 nights and we really liked the place! The design is minimalistic and the rooms are very clean, however the best thing about this place is the owners who are super friendly and knows a lot about the area and the rest of costa rica. we would definetely stay here again if we would come back to puerto viejo

This hotel is super cool, located at a 5 min walking from the center of the nice Puertoviejo village. Spacious rooms, everything very clean and with a nice feeling from Europe. Decoration is super cool and the idea of having the hotel outside grounds with gravel it's very clever: when it rains (and in Costa Rica it rains a lot!!) the floors don't get soaked and you can enter your room without get everything a mess. I would suggest a bigger fan to the room: as there is no A/C, the small fan in the wall seemed too small for the room space and the climate is hot and humid, so you'll get sweaty. The wi-fi is free and the signal is ok. The place is completely safe, you feel as you are in a small comunity.
Cristina and Carlos are a very nice Spanish couple, they gave us very nice advice about restaurants, what to see and do around Puertoviejo/Cahuita. They also have a nice dog (Lío).
I recommend this place to everybody, if you don't want to ruin your budget but if you also want a great place to rest.

The owners - Cristina and Carlos were super friendly and extremely nice and helpful!!! Top-notch!!! They helped me a lot with the transpiration to Tortuguero and gave me excellent tips.
The location is perfect, close to the main road of the village and very close to the beach, the room was very big and clean, the internet was excellent to.

The place is quite new but is looking a little worn already. There is no a/c and no ventilation at night because the room only has a door, which you need to keep shut at night. There are also no insect screens, just thick curtains, which do not only keep insects out but also fresh air. The rooms themselves are quite big and spacious but the bathroom is not a separate room so if you need privacy you have to tell you travel buddy to leave the room. Overall, it was ok, but I think I will try somewhere else next time.

I travelled to Costa Rica alone and spent 5 days in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca. I had the greatest experience at Hotel Indalo; Felt like my second home. The owners were incredibly welcoming, genuine, understanding and accommodating throughout my entire stay. They went above and beyond the usual to make me feel at home. The hotel was easy to find as they have appropriate signage to lead you there. It's tucked away in a quiet part of town giving you the feel that you are far from the action but you are actually a short 3 mins walk to the main road. The rooms are nice and private, clean and spacious giving you that loft-like, art deco feel with an open concept. Love the all white walls, cement floors and wood beam ceilings. The glass door/windows is a unique touch. The hot water is also a great feature since this is not so common in Costa Rican budget accommodations. You have a cute lil sitting area right outside your room for yourself, for those who smoke or just feel to sit and listen to nature do it's thing! Quite relaxing atmosphere!!! They provide meals and laundry for a small fee which was convenient. There are a vast amount of tours to chose from and they are more than willing to help you book them. They were more than willing to suggest other things to do around town and help you navigate your way around. Everything is close by...Literally! There are plenty of restaurants around, a grocery store and long stretches of beaches to hang out. All in all, great place to stay. I would recommend it to anyone with 100% confidence they will enjoy their stay. I will definitely be back!!! Thank you for all your kindness :) Pura Vida!!!

Room Tip: They are all nice!!!

Has been looking around in the caribian sea for a honeymoon destination. Had a friend that took his last highschool year in Costa Rica and was very satisfied. We do also have a couple of Costa Rican premierleague soccerplayers over here in Norway. I just can`t lie around in an tiny caribbian island, I need to be able to rent a car or a motorbike and getaround to see stuff. Hopefully a trip over to Panama will be possible, If I dont have to apply for a visa a year ahead. As of course can be done. The reviews yours hotel gets makes me certain that this will be the perfect honeymoon destination, as soon I figure out the best route by plane. Got meself to Uruguay and Bolivia a couple of yeard ago, though.
