We stayed for two nights and really liked the place. Our room was on the seaside and we really enjoyed having breakfast on the river deck or just sitting there watching the scenery. Tortuguero was one of our favorite places in Costa Rica and the Casa Marbella contributed to that. The super silent motorboat tour in the morning was great, but we did one in the afternoon with another guide and a canoe which was even better and felt more natural. If you plan to visit Tortuguero, please stay in the village, book the tours through village people and do not stay in the great lodges which won't contribute to the maintainance of the village community.

Room Tip: Go for the seaside!

My husband and I stayed at Casa Marbella for two nights. Our room was bright and airy and came with two fans (a must in the heat and humidity). The noise from the street was not a problem- the town quiets down early in the evening. The Wi-Fi was a bit slow, but free. The staff members were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, going out of their way to help us. We went on the morning boat tour with Luis and saw caimans, monkeys and tons of birds. The back deck over the river was lovely- great for watching sunsets and eating breakfast.

. It's a lovely b&b on the water. Spent a couple of evenings on their deck, watching the water. Great location in town, near cafes and restaurants, and the entrance to the the park. Good guided trips. Great breakfasts. Accommodating and helpful staff. Very clean. A wonderful place!

Room Tip: Upper two are supposed to be best. Our lower one was fine.

Clean, friendly little place, overlooking the river. Breakfast was good, different both mornings we stayed. In the centre of the little village, where you could mix with the locals who were all friendly. Take a boat ride on the river where you will see lots of wildlife. 2 nights was just enough as there is not a lot to do on this tiny island

The rooms were small but incredibly clean - I think they cleaned the room twice a day. We thought we would get hot with nothing but a fan but found ourselves almost chilly in the middle of the night. The free breakfast on the deck every morning was very nice, it was different each day and was prepared fresh/hot and served to you at the table. The staff was very friendly and helped book our transportation to our next destination.

Room Tip: Try to get one that's not on the street side, it was rather noisy with everyone walking by.

Stayed for 2 nights with 2 adults and one child. It's a lovely b&b on the water. Great location in the middle of town, near all the cafes and restaurants, and a 5 minute walk to the entrance to the park. Upper rooms are light and airy and the one looking over the river has the best view, and they're all really clean. Delicious hearty breakfast too. Daryl's advice for adventures was spot on.
If I had to make a suggestion for improvement it would be slightly bigger top sheets for the double beds. However I'm really being picky and it was so warm that we didn't really need it anyway.
Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

It's a good place to stay. Especially the view from the little dock. You can see the river and the boats.. lovely! The rooms where fine, with a fan and a proper bed. What I really liked about this place, was that it was really clean; every day nicely folded towels and toilet paper. Ain't that cute?
