This morning’s breakfast was delicious and fresh! We felt very welcome and relaxed. We will absolutely go back the next time we are in Quepos.

We got this recommendation from Allan at Iguana Tours. We wanted authentic Costo Rician food in a nice place and some of the sodas ( local restaurants ) we were unsure about since we could not check menus . This was perfect... Google does not...have the current location - just find the firehouse in Quepos and it is across the street. For $6 get the standard Casados con Carne. - perfect - rice beans a few small cubes of meat and be absolutely shore to ladle on the pickeled habanero mix in the middle of the table. The dishes with shrimp and Dorado were also excellent. a winner !!More
Nice restaurant with a very CostaRica typical looking place. Quick and great service, delicious food, great cocktails and very cold beer!
Very good. Went here after a tour and the service was great and the food was very yummy. They have vegetarian options which is very nice.
Dinner was so good we came back for lunch. Superb Casado, Quesedilluas, fresh and full of flavour. Staff lovely and helpful. We noticed the local tour guides visiting to buy their lunches as well. Very enjoyable, recommend highly.
Love that restaurant, 4 off us where there for lunch also for dinner, good food, excellent service, the owner is very nice, in general my husband, daughter, brother and I enjoyed Restaurant Tiquicia very much… Can’t wait to go back. Andrea T. December, 2023.
We were taken to lunch here by our tour (Jade) after the mangrove boat tour. We had a nice hot typical Costa Rican lunch waiting for us, along with fresh guava juice. Hubby and I both chose fish. We were enjoying our meal, and lunch...with the group. The experience was marred for me when I used the restroom after lunch.... and found no t.p.. for women this is quite a dilemma. Take off my shirt and use it? So I opened the door a Crack and called for hubby. No response, he was already outside by the tour van. So I had to literally yell for help until a random stranger brought me t.p.. minor detail in terms of the restaurant, but it was humiliating and I just want to warn people. Take a pack of tissues or check BEFORE you sit down :(More
We came to this restaurant as a group and we’re seated at one long table. Menus had lots of options with many seafood choices. Also casual dining(burger and fries). Food was fine, but not spectacular. Prices comparable to other restaurants. Happy hour 2 drinks for...price of one. On a busy road with open air. A few fans for air circulation, but it was quite warm.More
Delicious food, really pleasant staff, convenient location in Quepos, Costa Rica, on the way to Manuel Antonio National Park. Open air.
The staff especially Paola, was amazing - so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and we had a flaming dessert that was worth saving room for.
We asked a staff member at our hotel where to go for the best Costa Rican style food. He recommended this place and we had the best food, by far!
This bar restaurant is about 300 meters from the seafront wall, on the opposite corner to the Banco Costa Rica. We had drinks here twice (cocktails local beers) and ate some snack food (salchipapas) on our second visit. No air con but ample fans operating....Unpretentious place full of locals also does a big takeaway trade at lunchtime. A welcome antidote to some of the fancy places in Manuel Antonio with fancy prices to match. There are a few touristy shops for presents and souvenirs in the area. There is a good view at sunset across the harbour and to an empty beach. Tip: the tiny river that flows into the harbour is quite quiet. As part of a walk around Quepos we spotted a 2 metre long orange-headed iguana munching on leaves on the bank near the bridge (opposite side to the Panaderia). Down at the sea wall a Local pointed out a handful of scarlet macaws in the palm trees.More
Had dinner with the family here, the whole fish is worth trying. Traditional Costa Rican food made fresh and served hot. If only the service was with a smile, I'd give it 5 stars.
Our tour guide recommended this restaurant as we wanted typical Costa Rican cuisine. We were very happy he did as the food, service and ambiance were excellent. Very reasonable and high quality food. Everything was so fresh. We are so glad we were able to...visit this establishment and kudos to the staff and cooks!More
We went here with a tour guide since we wanted authentic Costa Rican food and it was exactly what we wanted! Amazing food. Alonzo was our server and he was amazing! He made us local coffee at our table and gave us locally made sugar...cookies. Best local, authentic experience!More
