“Big Shrimp and Burgers!”
Reviewed 22 November 2013

Excellent Burgers, the biggest and best in Central America, bar-none, possibly the states too!
Shrimp and rice is amazing, also! Great wait staff and excellent Happy hour! Rooms are kind of pricey but adequate. Great place to tie up your boat or hang out for a weekend. Internet signal is excellent and you will definitely enjoy your stay and the Fabulous Sunsets!

“Excellent all around!”
Reviewed 21 August 2013

We are no strangers to Costa Rica, but this was our first time in Golfito. On recommendation, we ate at Banana Bay Marina twice and both meals were far over our expectations. Not only did the one and only lady chef in the kitchen do an incredible job our bartendress/waitress was extremely polite and never stopped working.
A must go for a nice dinner!

“Relaxing atmosphere”
Reviewed 1 July 2013

Our friends had some huge hamburgers with fries they loved. We had a fish plate grilled with garlic that was delicious. Nice relaxing atmosphere with the boats and docks.

“Our home away from home”
Reviewed 1 July 2013

We stayed in a casita across the street, and over the course of 3 days, had breakfast, lunch and dinner there, as well as gathering with the rest of the ex-pats each evening for happy hour. Strong wifi made it our go-to spot to keep in touch with the world. The deep fried shrimp were out of this world, and breakfast was always excellent.

“Great happy hour with a view!”
Reviewed 24 June 2013

Best happy hour in town and with a fabulous view of the boats and bay. My favorite happy hour was when the guys were cleaning all the fish from their fishing trip...some AMAZING looking fish! Nice staff, definitely a gringo place (which is perfect for me...being a gringo living in Costa Rica). If you need a break of trying to speak Spanish or just are looking for a good deal, this is the place. :-)
