We didn't think too much of the place when we first pulled up that night, but once we got to our room we went "Wow!". We had a living room, kitchen and bedroom facing the ocean. The room was decorated with gorgeous local Costa Rican wood art and lots of carved woodwork framing in the rooms. The room was clean and inviting and the pool and grounds are well kept.
When the air conditioning didn't work in the living room, we got a call from the front desk offering a 2-bedroom upgrade. We ended up staying put and the a/c worked fine, but what great service!
The only downside, and this was fairly minor, was that the main road was right behind the hotel and sometimes the trucks were loud when they were shifting down the hill.
The food at the hotel was good, but you must try Graffiti in town, simply a must do. The Tortuga Cruise was fun, but a little pricey for what you get. This was the second leg of our Costa Rican adventure and we just relaxed at Club DelMar for a couple of days after a big adventure in LaFortuna.More
