We stayed here for 5 days during our 10 day trip to Costa Rica. This was an overall great hotel with a perfect spot on the beach. It is about a 5 min drive to town but its perfect because you are away from the city. It is right off the highway so sometimes you can hear big trucks driving by but it didnt bother anyone in my party. The beach is nice but its not a white sand beach. 3/4 of the whole jaco beach is a bit rocky but not infront of the hotel. Thats what we loved about it.
The hotel staff was a highlight for us. Every recomendation they gave us was amazing. From the food to the tour guides. We ate in town almost every night and ate at Wishbones and Graffitis which were some of the best. We went with a personal guide to Antonio Manuel National Park with Sergio and it was the best thing we did on the trip. Ask the front desk for Sergio, he has a book with recomendations.
The food was ok. Nothing special but just ok. The pool was very nice and clean. We went during July and had great weather. The resort and town was pretty empty because it is off season.
The beds are consistent with the star quality of the hotel. I think this is a two star place. The beds are a little hard and the rooms are nothing to write home about. They are clean but who comes to Costa Rica to spend all day in the room. Housekeeping gave us everything we needed. If you are a really light sleeper ask for a room closer to the beach. At the end of the day we woulld stay here and tell our friends to go back.
