“Really nice hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 July 2010

We stayed here for two nights, and regreted we didn't stay longer. Manuel Antonio is a really nice place and this hotel was the niceset of all the places we stayed on our trip to Costa Rica. The pool and garden is spectacular, and the room was lovely. Our two girls on 7 and 9 years also loved the hotel.

We spent a great week at The Falls. I was more than pleased with every aspect of our stay. The deluxe rooms were clean and comfortable and were actually deluxe rooms. The flat screen tv's were a nice bonus with the World Cup being on. And who can forget the monkeys and other wildlife that called the lush gardens home or just passed thru.
The complementary hot breakfast was a good way to start the day. The friendly staff was able to help us with excursions, great food with views, and would even hold the little one, while I tried to wolf down some gallo pinto. There's so much to do in the area, but it was also nice to just take it easy by the pool/gardens and enjoy a cold Imperial or frozen drink. Overall, The Falls Resort is well worth the price.

My family decided to meet for a reunion down at The Falls Resort this year. We were a little worried about this trip to Costa Rica, because we were travelling with two small children and weren't exactly sure how it would all pan out. I am pleased to say that it was a wonderful fun filled vacation. We stayed at The Falls for six nights in one of the newly refurbished deluxe rooms. The room was amazing! The housekeeping staff did an excellent job at keeping our room spotless..which was not an easy job considering we have a baby and a toddler! The hotel grounds are breathtaking with all of the flora and fauna. There were monkeys in the trees in the late afternoon and we even spotted a sloth high up in one of the trees! The staff here couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. They have many delicious drinks to try at the bar (with and without alcohol). The "monkey juice" is a great choice for kids, and they had countless tasty cocktails for the adults. The hotel will gladly arrange any excursions that you may want to take. One of the tours we took was the nature walk tour through Manuel Antonio's National Park. We saw a lot of wildlife, and even saw two sloths in the trees at eye level! The beach is close by and there are many restaurants to choose from within walking distance. Our faves were Agua Azul and Karola's. El Avion was another restaurant that we enjoyed as well, and it's right across the street. As of when we were there, the hotel wasn't serving dinner, but according to one of the owners they are planning to in the not so distant future. Breakfast is included and they have a good lunch menu if you just want to eat a little something while hanging out by the pool. There are books and dvds that you can grab in the lobby to use while you're there as well, which helped to keep my toddler entertained while we "rested". All in all, the service was great, the room and grounds were beautiful and clean, and there was easy access to anything you may want to do and see in Manuel Antonio and Quepos. The thing I enjoyed the most was sitting out on the balcony with a drink in the late afternoon while watching the monkeys in the trees and talking about our day. This hotel was the perfect place to relax and unwind and not feel like you had to leave the grounds to have an adventure! We WILL be back!

"The Falls" is a small hotel nestled among lush folage. The atomosphere is very relaxing with great views of the gardens from the rooms . The rooms are large with very comfortable beds,a large couch and a small balcony with seating. Check out the pictures on the website The staff is AMAZING. Everyone is exceptionally nice and helpful. Our Spanish is very limited and the communications with the staff was no problem at all. The whole atmosphere is one of privacy and relaxation, not that of a big corp. chain hotel. Within a short distance of plenty of recreational things to do. Best experience we had in a while.

"The Falls" was a great choice for my family, which includes 1 small child and 1 baby. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Costa Rica, and the extra-friendly service toward my kids along with the beauty and amenities of the hotel gave us a VERY comfortable "home away from home".
The deluxe room looked like new - it was very spacious and clean, and very tastefully decorated with modern fixtures and appliances and beautiful stone and wood detailing both inside and out on the patio. The beds were very comfortable, and the air conditioning provided welcomed refreshment when needed. There was also a nice big flat screen TV and DVD in the room - though we didn't use it much.
The jungle gardens at the hotel were even more beautiful than the photos capture, and even when the kids were napping we could still enjoy the beauty and richness of Costa Rica every day - right from our patio. In fact, some days there were monkeys and sloths and lizards all visible within the hotel gardens - free of charge!
The swimming pool was a BIG hit for our oldest child, and the infinity-edge was beautiful against the jungle garden backdrop.
Breakfast was delicious every morning, with an assortment of very fresh fruits and juices, along with breads and hot foods as well.
We did several adventure tours, and the friendly staff at the front desk were very helpful to make arrangements and recommendations throughout our stay.
This was our first trip to Costa Rica, but we hope to have many more in the years ahead.
We are highly recommending "The Falls" hotel to our family and friends.

My friends and I picked this place after reading the rave reviews on tripadvisor, and were not disappointed in the least - this place is stunning! In terms of location, it is on the main road, an easy 10 minute bus ride from the entrance of the national park, and is across the street from El Avion, one of the best restaurants in the area. The bus stops right across the street, and arrives every 20 minutes. It was nice to be a little farther away from the crowdy/congested area right by the park. The hotel has a beautiful pool and a patio, but the best part are the grounds - including the lush landscape, curvy walkways to each bungalow-type room. There were monkeys too, playing in the trees. The rooms are very clean, with large showers, and the beds were very comfortable - we all agreed that we had our best nights of sleep at this hotel. There was free breakfast included, which was simple but great (fresh fruit, eggs, beans, cereal, toast). And most importantly, the staff was very friendly and accomodating. Would absolutely return to his hotel!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for our last leg of our Costa Rica trip. The drive from La Fortuna was roughly over 4.5 hrs so needless to say we were very glad when we arrived at Manuel Antonio. From the outside, the hotel isn't a looker but once you get through the reception area you are greeted with a lush garden area and a pool overlooking the garden and falls. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were beautifully renovated with a lush king size bed with romantic mosquito netting on the headboard. The hotel is also close to the beach and Quepos with the bus stop only a few meters away which by the way only cost $0.45!! Only negatives other than the facade of the hotel is that the restaurant was not open for dinner therefore we had to look for a place to eat after our long drive and no telephones in the rooms so we had to walk to reception desk everytime we had a question.
