“Villa Mot Mot is home away from home!”
Reviewed 26 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

All of us were nervous coming in to the estates in the evening as it was dark and dim throughout, but the care and time Elias took to make sure our group was comfortable and our accommodations to be 100% satisfactory really made the difference. As we were coming into the estates on a Sunday evening, establishments were closing early, we were quickly recommended with many options, but the most important part was making sure that our accommodations were up to par and there was nothing that we needed for the evening.

As we pulled up to the property, sharp turn into a narrow dip to find an incredibly charming villa at the bottom of this dark hill called Mot Mot. Walking into the villa, it immediately felt like we were to just walk into our own home. Everything was fitting and complete for our jungle rainforest adventure. Perusing through the house, we find everything needed for our short stay in the Quepos town that is extremely close to Manuel Antonio. The town has EVERYTHING that you need, from food to supplies, to ordinary needs, just a hop and skip away. The home has a small pool that we enjoyed while grilling, a hammock in the balcony that all took some time to hang out in, sat in the balcony and enjoyed a beer or drink, stepped outside to listen to nature or take a breath of fresh air...It is all here...

We all know that when choosing a room, this is probably the problem that everyone encounters, everyone has a different need. But you have to make sure you travel with a group that is able to adjust fairly and adapt to what you have at hand. Because you will not find a place to stay that will give you all equally sized rooms... We sure did not have a problem with that, but keep in mind that are rooms in a home are not created equally. Travel with an open-minded group.

Thank you Manuel Antonio Estates staff, you really made it a memorable experience that will keep bringing us back.

“Sensational experience!”
Reviewed 11 March 2016 for a stay in February 2016

We loved Villa Mot Mot. It was located in the heart of the rainforest and we saw wild animals and exotic birds every day. The service was impeccable, the kitchen was fully stocked, and we had more space than we could ever use. It was an incredible experience!

My husband and I were married on a beach near Manuel Antonio in 2008. We always said when we returned we would rent a house. Villa Mot Mot exceeded our expectations. We traveled with a large group of family, friends and our 5 year old. There was plenty of space for the 10 of us. An extra mattress was needed and the staff did not hesitate to accommodate. Dorit made our experience incredible. Every question we had she answered, every reservation we needed to book she handled...very friendly. Everything was very clean and the staff was very friendly. I can't wait to go back!

“Excellent for our Group of 8 (with teens)”

Wow. What a great way to begin our 10 days in Costa Rica. Thanks to Dorit for always replying in a timely manner to the many questions which I had for our groups stay. Being that it was our first time in Costa Rica, and that I'm a travel agent, I did have many questions. Excellent service Dorit. Thank You. The transportation you arranged for us from the SJO airport was excellent. Our driver stopped twice - once so we could eat (took us to a neat soda place) and again at the grocery store before dropping us off at the villa. Wow. The villa was much nicer and bigger than the photos show. It was perfectly located in the woods (up the steep hill) (not unusual for CR) yet only a 10 minute walk to downtown Quepos area. The bathrooms and bedrooms are huge, all rooms are quite large. The decks lower & upper were enjoyed by all. The hammock was A+ as well. It was very clean and we had no issue with bugs of any kind(as others said they did). The pool was cleaned daily and kept at a nice temperature (approx. 75 degrees) which was nice after shopping and walking downtown for a few hours in the humid heat. Cool for our morning dip but it was very refreshing and you got over it quite quickly when you looked around at your surroundings. Lush greenery everywhere. The views and flora around the villa are outstanding. We had monkeys visit on the deck, sloths sleeping in the tree tops and iguanas in the flora visit us at the villa. We also were fortunate enough to see the Tucans at the office window. They don't even look real they are that beautiful. Our stay at the villa was enjoyed by our entire group. Everything in the villa was excellent. The washer & dryer were definately a bonus. The teenagers loved....loved it. Thanks again for everything. Will be back for sure and will recommend to clients wanting to go to CR. Thanks to Emilie as well for welcoming us to the villa our first morning there. We had lots of questions for her as well and her recommendations were excellent and appreciated. Hope the photos I'm adding assist others in seeing what this beautiful property has to offer.

“Beautiful”
Reviewed 19 January 2014 for a stay in January 2014

We stayed at Villa Mot Mot with our family of six. Dorit in the office was very helpful throughout the booking process and while we were there, including helping us find a zip line tour. The house is clean and beautifully appointed and the Estates are beautiful, smack in the middle of the forest. We saw monkeys from our balcony and iguanas on the road. We needed an extra mattress which was provided to us for free. We got there at night and someone from the Estates office was there to meet us and get us settled. The house also has free wi-fi. We had a couple of minor maintenance issues in the house which were taken care of immediately. The house is a 5 minute walk from Quepos, and we walked to the grocery store there at night two times without any worries. My only issue was that the kitchen wasn't as adequately equipped with small things like salt, pepper, and spices as we would have liked. My only warning would be if you have a car, be prepared that the road to the house is very steep and a little disconcerting to drive, especially at night.

“It felt like a huge tree house nestled among the trees!”
Reviewed 3 December 2013 for a stay in November 2013

Our stay at Villa Mot Mot was wonderful. The house itself is very nice nestled among the trees, it felt like a huge tree house. Our family had a great time here. This is a 4 bedroom 2 bath house. There was a total of 12 of us staying here. The entire house was very nicely decorated and had all new modern appliances in the kitchen. (they could use a couple more types of cooking pans for oven, very limited on that) Otherwise, all was good. The rooms were all spacious and the view from the wrap around balcony was just beautiful. (just be aware there is only AC in two of the bedrooms and none in the rest of the house including the living room) The downstairs managed to stay pretty cool as long as you leave the bedroom door open, the upstairs not as much.

The house did have a small pool and what we thought was a functioning jacuzzi turned out it wasn't which was a bit of a bummer since the water in the pool was very cold when we went so we really didn't get a chance to enjoy it.

Dorit was great, did not have to much interaction with her but we were lucky to have Rebecca who was simply wonderful! She was very attentive and always asking us what she could do to make our trip better.

The house was at the bottom of the hill but still quite a hike if you had to walk up, which we did several times. A couple of suggestions would be to have some type of transportation to the villas for the guest as well as for Rebecca or whoever has to walk up and down those hills to check on guest and homes(as she did this several times a day). We stayed at a property in Arenal that did have transportation for it's guest which was very nice since we did a lot of walking. Hopefully in the future they can provide that for their guest. Other than that our stay was great!! I cannot say enough good things about Rebecca, she truly is an asset to Manuel Antonio Estates and was great!

Would definitely stay there again and recommend to others as well!
