“Quaint Little Restaurant”

Very friendly staff and amazing dinner, drinks, and dessert! This restaurant pleasantly surprised us, as there are only a few tables and it was part of a hotel. We started off with a coconut margarita, which was one of the best cocktails I have ever had! I had the chicken burrito and my husband had the fish of the day. Everything was cooked to perfection! We couldn’t get enough and even fought over the leftovers the next day! The macadamia nut pie is to die for! I would highly recommend this place as it was reasonably priced for the area and worth every penny!

“Great Value! Hotel with Character”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 July 2013

Villas Nicolas was a fun stay. The place is small, intimate, but has a lot of character and a little bit of a quirky vibe. The pool/hot tub were lovely, the grounds were lush, but the views from our room top it all off - ocean views with a huge balcony with a hammock and lots of couch/seating areas. We found ourselves lounging out there most of the time.

The room itself was small - basically just the bed, small bathroom, and closet that you can lock. It didn't feel as private as I would have liked since if we left our blinds open people from the pool could see into our room, and the door to our room also had windows with no blinds or curtains. But other than those two things, the value was still great.

Plus, the location was great. You're easily within walking distance of plenty activity and a short drive from Manuel Antonio.

“Nice place for Manual Antonio”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 July 2013

After traveling in Costa Rica for 10 days, it was nice to have a consistent in room wifi and Air conditioning.Although on the main road to Manual Antonio, our type 3 villa was very quiet and had a very large and private covered veranda with a nice view
of the ocean. Nice to sit out and enjoy the peace and quiet any time of the day rain or shine. Beautiful pool area. Good breakfast although 4 days in a row of the same thing is a little much. Villas are clean, beds comfy. Local inexpensive bus runs in front of office for easy access to Manual Antonio or nearby town of Quepos.

“Great fresh fish”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 April 2013

This was our first meal in Manuel Antonio and it was a good start. A small restaurant and a small kitchen but the chef cooked the fish to perfection. We started with tuna sashimi and prawn salad and then monkfish and red snapper. The desserts were good too. Friendly informative table service. If there is a negative it would be the rather overcooked vegetables served with main course. Desserts were delicious too. 30 £ / 45$ per head including wine.
