Welcome to Casa Tres Palmas!
Right off the main road to Manuel Antonio --
In the handsome community of Pajaro Azul --
You will find our house, first on the right, Casa Tres Palmas
While inside, an open living, dining and kitchen area, with a cathedral ceiling made of almond wood.
The living area looks out on to a covered patio area and the pool - perfect in the sun or the rain.
From the living area, stairs lead up to the bedrooms and bathrooms.
The Master bedroom, with a king size bed looks out on to the garden pool
The guest bedroom has a queen size bed and a private bathroom.
Both bathrooms have large open showers...
...that have backlit glass block walls. In the evening, the back lighing is very soothing.
The lush garden makes the pool area very private, though there is some view toward the mountains.
At night the lighting in the pool and garden makes for a very romantic setting.
It is very convenient to the town & beach, yet a perfect secluded get away. We never want to leave!

“Perfect location.”
Reviewed 14 January 2017 for a stay in December 2016

The house was really a find. Beautiful location and convenient to numerous activities. Very clean and definitely cared for by owners. Lots of space, two comfortable bedrooms and two baths. Great kitchen, dining area and sitting room with a bonus of a lovely pool area. It felt very spacious with an at home experience. Definitely the place to stay.

“wonderful vacation at Manuel Antonio”
Reviewed 21 September 2016 for a stay in July 2016

The house was everything we expected: good kitchen, nice living room, good bedrooms and 2 great bathrooms. Relaxing in the pool after a day in the park was fantastic. The housekeeper washes your dirty clothes (which is great when you are traveling for a longer time). The home manager Tom will help you with anything he can.

“Perfect Getaway!”
Reviewed 5 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

This was the perfect retreat! The pool & privacy was amazing...perfect cool down each day. It's close to everything...short drive or taxi ride. The villa was very comfortable w/ a traditional Costa Rican feel. You can open up the windows to get the great morning breeze...also has air conditioning for the hotter, sticky evenings. Our host was very welcoming & accommodating...just a phone call away. The views are tropical & mountain..it's not high enough up for an ocean view...but we never really missed it since there are many restaurants & beaches nearby. It's a 2 bedroom, 2 bath...perfect for 2 couples...although there were only 2 of us so very spacious. We'd definitely stay here again.

“Trip of a lifetime”

This is my second time in Costa Rica, and the second time I've stayed in the same complex, though a different house. Yes it's on the older side, and you can hear street noise but it was perfect. We're from NYC so the amount of noise we're used to is astounding.

It was just my fiance and I so we have an abundance of space. All of the appliances worked. The private pool is the reason we picked this property and it was exactly what we wanted. It's not massive, but it's just about perfect for 2 people. WE spent many many hours in that pool relaxing after a day in town.

Tom is the highlight of this trip. This is, again, the 2nd time I've worked with him, and he's a treasure. Very, very attentive but also know to leave you alone.

Manuel Antonio is very close to my heart. The people, the nature, all come together to form this cocoon of happiness for me. I could return here again and again.

Bonus, we got engaged during this trip so it became even more special to us!

“No Worries!”
Reviewed 3 April 2016 for a stay in March 2016

I was a little concerned about traveling and renting abroad, but my concerns flew out the window once I chose Cafe Tres Palmas. Howard, the owner, was very prompt and responsible about the reservation. Tom, the concierge, was super helpful and took great care of us once we arrived. Tom gave us amazing directions, with suggested stops (crocodile sightings!) along the way. He toured us around Quepos and Manuel Antonio and gave spot-on suggestions for a birthday dinner, sunset drinks, and snorkeling expedition. Also, he helped us arrange for beach chairs & umbrella and an economical place to park next to the beach. There is nothing like having someone bring you a cold cerveza while you relax and look at the waves. The house itself was excellent-- convenient location, air conditioning, all the pots & pans & beach towels you'd need. Erika kept everything clean for us and was unobtrusive (& artistic--check out her flower arrangements!) The pool was so special too so nice to dip into after our daily adventures. All in all, an excellent choice for a vacation rental!

“lovely house, good location, landlord and concierge extremely helpful”
Reviewed 27 February 2016 for a stay in February 2016

Concierge Tom was incredibly helpful. He helped us find and book outings, showed us around town for most of an afternoon, gave us tips, and even helped us get SIM cards for our phones. Landlord Howard also very helpful.
BUT big thumbs down for T.A./Flipkey on the rental transaction. I missed the second payment by literally a few hours, then paid the whole reservation in full as soon as I found the error. Flipkey told me they were going to keep the entire $621 deposit as a penalty!, then stopped responding when I complained. Fortunately I was able to fight them through both American Express and the landlord and got my money back. If you book any travel through Flipkey, be sure to use your credit card so you have recourse in case of trouble.
The house is comfortable and the pool is a big win. Lovely blue tile and although the pool is nowhere big enough to do laps, it’s deep enough (4’) to remain cool during the heat, and has plenty of room for a family and friends to hang out together. Cleaning person Erica provided great service. Kitchen is basic (no diswasher, aging pans) but adequate.
Location: about 100 feet above the main road between Quepos and Manuel Antonio park, which is convenient. The beach near the park is wonderful although there is no place to rinse feet or change (you can pay $1 to use restaurant bathroom across the street). Bus fare is only 310 colones (60 cents) and taxis are easy to get (about $6 one-way to the park). Downside is road noise. If you hang out in the afternoon, you’ll hear it. At night, sleeping in the well air-conditioned bedrooms with windows closed, no problem. Beds very comfortable. Lots of space in open living area.
Very dry, especially in an El Nino year, we didn’t see a single mosquito at the house which was great, given Zika fears. We had the doors open at night with no screen on one side, no bugs at all. A very friendly orange cat did visit a few times though :).
Overall highly recommend this house: good value & appreciate all the help from Tom and Howard.
