Unless you are with family, not a place for single people as they cater to families with children.

If you are trying to stay in one of their economical rooms which can run for about $200 a night, you'll be disappointed as the room is very basic and the bathroom, well, let's just say that the gym bathroom is much more modern.

The staff will not take responsibility for not having your CONFIRMED reservation on file (which happened to us) & are not willing to accommodate you in a timely fashion or to a room that you asked such as a room with a king bed. Rather, they gave us a room with a 2 beds located in what it seemed to be the dungeon. There are much better hotels for 200$ a night around the area!

The breakfast, however, is very good and the restaurant staff is probably the nicest people there. Otherwise, I would not stay here again.

The hotel has a great location and quality staff. Every time we left and came back to the premises the security guard would take our room number and write it down. This made me feel like someone would know if something happened to me. The restaurant food was very good, and our 19-year-old son looked forward to eating there at night. The staff spoke English well and were very attentive. The wifi was generally good in the rooms, but it was sporadic at times. The walk to the beach is steep, and if you don't want to swim in the warm ocean, you may not want to go for the walk. We saw monkeys on the way; however, we saw many more at Manuel Antonio Park. We had the Tropical Room, which was very nice with a view of the gardens of the hotel. I was told by the staff that there was no place on the hotel property we could go to watch the sunset. I would have liked to have that opportunity. Adrianna and Katrina, who were at the tour desk, were extremely helpful. We weren't picked up by our driver until 3:00pm after going to Manuel Antonio Park and knew we'd need a shower since we had to check out by 11:00. The front desk stayed busy that day so that we couldn't ask for a room to shower. They took care of it for us and even turned on the a/c so it'd be cool when we needed it. Thanks! I also wanted to mention that they have an internet room that is air conditioned if you need to check your email, check in with your airlines, etc. Some small boys were tying up the computers playing games, but Katrina helped us access the computers when we asked for her help.

I will start by saying that our family traveled around most of western Costa Rica on vacation- and I would advise others NOT to do that. We had very uneven hotel experiences before arriving at Hotel Parador so were very weary of what to expect when we arrived. The staff heard that we had not really been enjoying our vacation or had any relaxation time since we landed in the country so they immediately welcomed us with open arms. They upgraded our room to an amazing penthouse with views on both sides of the peninsula. Truly breathtaking inside and out. We watched monkeys and enjoyed sunsets over the Pacific from our balcony. Found all of the hotel staff to be very professional, knowledgeable, and very sweet- from the front desk staff, to the restaurant wait staff, to the gift store clerks. Huge buffet breakfasts are included in your stay and are really delicious- fresh juices, fruit, yogurt, hot foods, and pastries. So many choices that everyone in our family found more than enough. Dinners were also excellent and we liked that they also offered a sushi menu. We visited the local beach that is a short hike away. Also spent a day at Manuel Antonio Park where we saw more monkeys than we could count- and several different species, many with babies- sloths, birds, butterflies, etc. We always felt very safe and would definitely return to this area. Best part of our trip!

I really searched to find the perfect place to stay; I wanted beach, I wanted mountains and I wanted rain forest. The Hotel Parador is literally at the end of a long winding mountain ride, overlooking the pacific ocean with gorgeous views. A SUPER short walk away is a private little beach that is very nice, used by locals and not touristy at all. The hotel itself has it's own rainforest/hiking paths that I thought would be rather manicured and faux natural but actally make you forget you are even on the hotel's property. Monkeys, birds, lizards and hermit crabs abound.

The room itself was stunning. As soon as I entered a gorgeous balcony with sea and forest views greets you. The staff was so friendly and attentive. You could easily spend your whole trip here, if it wasn't for how accommodating and easy they make it to shuttle you places and set up excursions. I would definitely make it a point to go back. It's worth it.

The fact that they pride themselves on being sustainable is just an added plus.

Room Tip: Corner balcony is the best.

After staying in more rustic resorts in the north central part of Costa Rica we really enjoyed the Eco-luxury that the Parador resort provided for the last 4 days of our vacation. A room upgrade set the stage for a delightful stay. Howler monkeys climbed in the trees right outside our room and white faced capuchin monkeys played on the grounds. The room was beautiful and modern. Breakfast was included and included made to order omelets.

We organized our tours through the activities desk and had great experiences with knowledgable guides in Manuel Antonio National Park and doing a mangrove kayak tour.

I can highly recommend the Parador Resort when you want Eco-luxury accommodation when in Quepos.

The scenery was great and the service remarkable. I went with my two kids, and we all had a wonderful time. There are activities for the whole family. The food was great also. This is the hotel you want to go if you want luxury and comfort in the middle of a beautiful natural park.
