“Excellent food and service!”

This restaurant is a must when visiting Manuel Antonio! The view of the sunset is fantastic while you sip an exotic drink and take in the beautiful surroundings. The way they cook the food over the hot coals is delicious!

“Really Cool!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 June 2014 via mobile

The coals come down a shoot and heat your food to perfection! The beef and chicken ate awesome! The herbs on the fish is great, though the fish did not taste too fresh. The pork was ok.

The service is awesome with a great bar! Somewhat hard to find as the beer sign is bigger than the restaurants sign but in a great location with good parking.

“Great Food, Fun Place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 June 2014

We had dinner here during our first trip to Costa Rica. The steak was amazing. The meal was very simple but perfectly prepared. We did not experience the sunset view because a big storm came through but we liked the rustic, off-beat vibe. It was fun to watch the chef cook using their unique grilling system. Highly recommend this place.

“Must-go for Non-Vegans”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 June 2014

Unless you are a vegan and do not eat any animal related products such as butter or meat, this is really a fantastic restaurant. We had their guacamole, 25 oz grilled sirloin, grilled veggie plater and a kid's meal of grilled chicken with baked potato. We also had two regular cocktails (they also have 2 for 1 for certain drinks) and prosciutto on melon.

The space is an great, open room with a bar and large grill on the side. They start out with wood and burn it into charcoal and then use this charcoal to grill meat and vegetables. The flavors are so delicious for both meat and vegetable and the portion sizes are quite generous for the price. The 25 oz sirloin was around $25 and included grilled vegetables and a grilled potato. It was literally the size of two filet mignons and had the tenderness of New York steak. It was enough to feed two people. If you had comparable quality and portion size in any major city in the United States it this dish alone would be at least $50. Our total including tax and tip was $75.

Even if you are vegan, you may want to get the grilled vegetable plater. It includes a baked potato with chipotle butter, but you could probably get everything with out butter. The flavors from the homemade coals are so good.

“YOU CANNOT MISS THIS PLACE”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 June 2014

i don't usually write in caps but this restaurant is this good - we had (as an appetizer) grilled mushrooms with melted cheese and it was spectacular. my wife had a grilled red snapper and i had a sirloin steak and both were superb. as if there weren't enough, the service was impeccable - i would DEFINITELY good back. worth every penny.
