This is one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been to. It is gently nestled in Manuel Antonio park. It wasn't nearly as crowded as people made it out to be. However, the monkeys and raccoons will try and take your belongings.

Just a warning to all... if you're planning on going here, and not planning on spending $150 for all of your family. Make sure you do not get stopped by the parking lot of scam artists along the way to the park. While we were on the way to the park, these people from a parking lot on the right side of the road stopped us and told us to park there. We asked them if this was the parking for the park -- they said yes, and we foolishly believed them. [you can actually park elsewhere and enter the park on your own and save a lot of $$!!!] They were also all wearing olive green uniforms so they looked pretty legit. They told us that for $150 total for a family of 5, it included the entrance fee to the nature park, entrance fee to the beach inside the park, and a tour guide. First of all -- once we met the guide, we had a take a long walk to even enter the park in the scorching heat. Then once we got to the entrance of the park, we noticed that the ticket the guide purchased for us was only $10.00 (US) per person!!! This means that we were spending $100 more than we needed to. Lastly, the beach inside the park did not require an extra entrance fee, which the parking lot people clearly had lied about. I know that the $100 probably goes to pay for the guide, but I did not like the dishonesty of the people selling this tour guide service.

Yes, it is true that without the tour guide, you may not know where to find the sloths/spiders/lizards etc. But the tour guide we had was knowledgeable, but not very enthusiastic.

This nature park compared to the other attractions I went to was very touristy. I'm not saying it was a terrible tour, but all I'm saying is try to avoid getting ripped off when you're not looking to spend that much money. If you're just planning to see some wildlife, and spend some time on the beach in the park, I think just paying the regular park entrance fee of $10/person will suffice. You can easily spot animals if you just follow and pay attention to the people who are staring at the tree tops, haha.

What a great place to spend the day amongst wildlife. You have to go there to really experiment it. Unless you are sharp eyed and armed with telescopic cameras, you should get a guide at the entrance of the park to point out the various animals to you. All the guides speak to each other, maximizing your chances of seeing the stick insects, lizards , sloths, the monkeys are moving constantly from one beach to the other and we were lucky enough to see them twice and close by, without necessarily needing the help of the guide. If you are a photo enthusiasts, our guide was able to take a picture with our phone through his telescopic lenses, great souvenirs!!!

Loved seeing the monkeys and raccoons! The raccoons were like squirrels in Disney, stealing food from everyone's bags. Too freaking funny. Wish I had seen some more birds, and NEVER saw a coati. Either way, this was one of the highlights to our honeymoon :)

I had a 6 hours visit to the park. Walked to the beach, Then continued to the scenic path inside the wood, with great viewpoints on the ocean and waves. Little hidden beaches on the way. Tropical wood sounds. Meeting free Iguanas. And last but not least - swim in the warm ocean in the most beautiful beach.
