We are a group of crew members from Queen Elizabeth and we were really happy with our tour. Everything was organised by e-mail and they were very accommodating. Crew there were just great: happy, friendly and helpful. they picked us up from the pier and took us to the Adventure park and back on time (as we were a bit tight on time). Transfer and trip was all included and we even got a sweet surprise at the end of the tour. We will definately recommend to friends docking in Puntarenas! :) Thank you guys!! We had a fantastic day!!

We had a great ziplining experience, our first. It was so nice to hear the waterfalls the entire 25 zip lines. And the swim at the 9th line was a nice perk too. The water is chilly though!
So highly, highly recommend this place for ziplining!!!
The resort is on a hilltop with a fantastic view of the west coast/sunset. We stayed one night, so as to minimize travel to and from. The 3 meals we got were great! (breakfast, lunch, dinner) Homestyle food, and very tasty. (I do beg to differ on the previous recommendations for the spaghetti bolognese; it's average. Have the mediteranean chicken, very good!) The staff are really nice and sincere. We tipped them generously.
The property has trails, and that was a nice 20 minute walk through orchards and forest. The onsite pool is really nice looking but chilly (as were all the pools in Costa Rica we found).
The hotel itself is a 2 star, basic accomodations, with a great view. (we had the King/Queen room). Bring your own shampoo. No luxuries. Shower water is luke warm, the water pressure is not strong. Can be noisy outside when it's windy; bring earplugs for sleeping in case. Internet worked but was at times spotty.
Overall great value when the room and zipling is combined, includes the 3 meals.
Would go back again!

If you only have one place to visit, this is the place!!! Very friendly staff great food, and the best zip lines in the area!!! If you really wsnt to test yourself the high rope course is the thing to do. The only drawback is the lack of an ice machine. If you go tell Barbara or Jorge the Iceman sent you!!!

We took the 11 waterfall tour. Great even for first timers although it does require a bit of physical effort.

Service is great, they store your things in a locker or a safe. You can take a camera but it might get a bit shaken.

My husband and I purchased the gold package and it was the best money we spent our whole trip. When we arrived to the Hotel Golfo, they upgraded our room. We had the place to stay - it was very romantic. The view was gorgeous - pictures don't do it justice. Service by Horatio was excellent. The next day was our tour - Petey, Wagner & Enrique were awesome!!!! We laughed the whole time at their entertaining. The views were beautiful!!! Best ziplining we've done yet (we've also done in St. Maarten & Dominican Republic). Would highly recommend. Very professional, clean and safe. Thank you so much!!!

We stayed at this hotel situated on a beautiful piece of land on the side of the mountain above Miramar. The location is wonderful along with the staff. The people could not have been any nicer from the time we checked in until we left the next afternoon. We booked a package deal with the zip line tour and our meals we're included. The food was excellent, the service was great and for a quiet place to relax, this place cannot be beat. There are hiking trails, a nice pool area and the sunsets are spectacular looking out of the gulf.
The only downside was the zipline tour. The tour itself was great - everything from safety briefings, equipment, to knowledgeable guides. The problem came with the number of people on the tour - I did a quick count and came up with around 45 people, maybe more. This made a tour that was supposed to have lasted until 12:00 go to around 3:00PM. The guides kept apologizing and they even sent us an email after returning home saying how sorry they we're. It didn't cause us any problems but it might have been slightly better if they had staggered their tours and split the guides since there was such a large group.

This being said, I would highly recommend this trip and the zip line tour to everyone. I cannot say enough good about the guides and the service they gave us both while staying at the hotel and on the tour. The next time your near, schedule the time to enjoy this wonderful experience.

Room Tip: We stayed in room number 1 which overlooks the pool. Don't expect outstanding rooms but they are...

We drove from San Jose for the zip line activity with our two children, ages 9 and 12. We had zip lined one before in the US but were admittedly nervous. The experience was one of the top highlights of our Costa Rican vacation. The zip line activity was incredibly well organized, extra caution was used to make sure everyone was safe, and the children were made to feel very welcome and comfortable. The view from the main house is incredible, and once you get on the tour, the advertisements are proven true as you really so zip line over 11 real waterfalls (not dried creek beds). Chris, the tour leader, may have been the nicest person we have met in Costa Rica, which says something as everyone has been very friendly in all locations . Also, the meal afterwards was outstanding local cuisine - definitely not a snack but a full meal. One note - half way through the zip lining, there is a picturesque pool at the bottom of a waterfall and you can swim if you are dressed for it. But - there's no place to change while on the course, so consider wearing swimwear under your clothes while doing the course.
