This food was worth the journey in the dark! Our family of three arrived well into the Saturday night dinner rush without a reservation. We were greeted enthusiastically and a table was provided in less than 5 minutes! A good sign on what was to come. We enjoyed a moderately priced Malbec with our home-made pizza right out of their stone oven, a shrimp pasta with fresh basil and a garden fresh salad. They were kind to split our dishes in the kitchen for us, too! All food was exceptionally prepared, the service was great and the location was a drive but worth it for the food and almost magical atmosphere of the place. Five star kudos to the owners/chefs! The food was so good that we hugged the chefs before departing ! Brilliant!

Our party of five was grateful to be seated on a busy night. (We had misunderstood that we did need to make a reservation that evening, but the kind staff made room for us despite our mistake.) We enjoyed the relaxing dining environment and the pizzas were delicious, too! It is a place to go for a special occasion; one of the more expensive meals I have had in Costa Rica, but a really lovely experience.

I had the Gorgonzola gnocchi and my friend had a garlic pizza and both were fantastic. Service was great, prices were good, and there was live music while we were there.

This is a bit far from Montezuma proper, but was close to where I was staying. It's all outside seating, covered, and very well done. The bread was very good, the focaccia appetizer was excellent! There was a bit of an issue with 3 of us ordering steaks and the restaurant not having enough for all 3 orders, but we worked it out. My steak dinner was very good. The dessert flan was also good. And they surprised us all with a sample of their homemade limoncello, and as there were 8 of us, that was a good amount!

As others have stated you need a cab to get here its a fair bit out of town, we went on a Saturday night and although quiet to start placed filled. Its a nice dining experience and a good menu.

We had the mixed antipasto to start and although cheese and chutney was good the meats were a small bit of chorizo and some wafter thin sandwich ham was poor considering the price.

The house red was good.

I had some home made pasta for a main which was nothing remarkable and my partner had a chorizo dish which was good.

Panna cotta to finish however was fab, service was good early on when place was quieter but went downhill as place filled up.

Given the amount of money we spent over the evening we were very surprised when we were brought a digestif (not a limoncello) that we had to share one small shot glass.....

This is not a cheap night and am not sure it lives up to its reputation but on the whole we enjoyed.
