Stayed here a couple of nights and really enjoyed the place. Used the kitched to make our breakfasts which we ate on the relaxing front porch. Lots of butterflies to watch each morning. Nice place to park your car if you have one.

Rueben and Catrine were super helpful. We had an issue with our credit card which we needed to contact the bank for and they spent at least 20 patient minutes helping me out.

Definitely do the waterdall hike while in Montezuma - was great fun jumping into the pools of the upper falls.

We initally wanted to stay just for one night, but decided to extend our stay. In Casa Colores, we had a perfect starting point for discovering Montezuma, although the cabinas are located about 5 min by car from the village center. The casa we stayed in was perfectly clean, well equipped with a nice little kitchen inviting us to cook for ourselves. We had two bedrooms which was perfect for us, since we were two couples travelling together.
The pool was very nice and an excellent refreshment after a day outside.
We have received very useful information about Montezuma from the owners and enjoyed our excursion to the waterfalls very much. In case we return we will definitely stay again there.

This place is great. The owners, Ruben and Catrine, are really good people. So relaxing and refreshing. Cabanas become "home" quickly and easily. A trip to the market and we were set for the week. Cooking, swimming, reading, and yes, internet access filled our days along with day trips and nightly excursions at our leisure. A slight pout over missing Super Bowl XLIV ( no TV) prompted Ruben to invite us over to his place to watch the game! All local travel and departures were handled flawlessly by our host. Really hands -on family owned and operated. Highly recommended ! !

We booked for three nights and ended up staying a fourth. The family is very accommodating, friendly and helpful but don't crowd your space. The cabins are rustic and quaint, not fancy but clean and very efficient. We cooked our own meals in the small kitchen and enjoyed nights on the porch. Left the windows open at night and no problems with any insects or other creatures. Lovely sleep at night with the fresh air. Would definately return and hope to soon! Good value.

we spent a week here and were very happy , the owners and staff were friendly and helpful. the cabins are well layed out and have large porches where you can swing in the hammock and listen to the birds and the monkeys. situated on a large treed property in a quiet area, also the cabins are built on posts off the ground, cooler, cleaner and less critter company
