Located on the top of a hill just off of US Hwy 231 in Wetumpka, Alabama, Casa Napoli is a true surprise. I would rate their Italian fair as mediocre prepared by a co-owner that I understand cut most of his teeth at the Olive Garden. Many locals I spoke with in the community seem to have the same view of the Italian entrees. However, Casa Napoli's lunch is the real surprise here. Specializing in "meat and 2 / 3 / 4". For those of you reading this not accustomed to a "Meat and 2". It's simply the diner's choice of meat (chicken/pork/fish/beef) paired with the choice of "2" sides. I believe all lunches feature grouper Forest Gump style, "blackened, panko, etc...". It's a large piece of fish cooked right. Other lunch options regularly include sandwiches or a chicken breast or such with fresh vegetables and cornbread. Drinks are additional but water and iced tea are included with the meal. Meals are only $7.50 including the drink. Lunch is well worth over $10 by today's standards. I'm concerned they won't be open much longer at current rates. There is plenty of seating with booths and tables. Decor is borderline tacky with fake plastic plants and a phony fireplace (Did I mention Olive Garden?) but you can tell they try hard. The atmosphere lately has been akin to an assisted living facility with few patrons under the age of 65. Definitely, go for their lunch and stay home for dinner.
