The hospitality and kindness of Maria and her staff is unique. Las Islas is a wonderfully appointed, clean, beautifully landscaped, excellently maintained property. The attention to detail in the rooms, artwork, decorations, and care of guests reflects the love poured daily into the jobs they seem to do so effortlessly. We stayed before and after our 3 day Corcovado hike, our extra baggage was kept safely, a breakfast to go was carefully and thoughtfully packed, arrangements were efficiently made. The Tico "pura vida" spirt was most apparent in Osa, and particularly at Las Islas lodge.

Room Tip: you will be surprised by the attention to detail and care taken in appearances, the generous sizes of rooms and the easy 20 minute walk/3 minute cab ride to the center of Puerto Jimenez

What a lovely place! The staff could not be kinder. We stayed here before and after our overnight hike into Corcovado. It was the perfect spot. I was sick for a day while I was there and they did everything to help my husband, who speaks no Spanish, take care of me. The breakfasts were so yummy. The room was comfortable and private. It's a bit further out of town than I would care to walk, but it was an easy drive in and again, the staff gave us great directions to restaurants, the mercado, and anything else we needed. Be sure to get pastries at the paneria in town!

Room Tip: The casitas are the best.

This was our second year in a row at Las Islas, and I am sure we will be going back again next year. The cabins are large, comfortable, and immaculately clean. The management, both Maria and Helen, are a delight, and intent on taking care of all of your needs. The breakfast are delicious, and the bar service in the afternoon and evening provide a great place to relax and have conversation. Every afternoon there were monkeys outside our cabin in the trees, and at other times parrots. We go to Costa Rica every year, and this has become one of our favorite vacation spots. It's definitely five stars.

Las Islas Lodge was a perfect spot for us to stay for our quick 2 day visit to Corcovado NP. We want to thank Maria for all of her help and though she doesn't believe so her English is very good. We are sorry that we left too early to thank Maria in person. The air conditioned rooms and cleanliness of the lodge and grounds were appreciated. We also highly recommend Alvaro Montoya as a guide through the Park. He has great enthusiasm and a love for nature and his job as a nature guide. We saw all four species of monkeys and a tapir. We also saw a troupe of squirrel monkeys in the trees just outside our cabin at Las Islas Lodge. Perfect finish to our stay.

We as a couple had a very good stay in Las Islas.
After being welcomed by Toni we immediately felt comfortable. Later that day a nice girl (can't remember her name exactly) was working in the reception and she was extremely helpfull in answering my questions. She was really friendly and professional. A big thanks to her and Toni.

The room (cabin) was nice and clean, exactly how we wanted it to be.

It is a quiet stay about 15 min on foot to town.

There are trees and plants on the property so you have a good chance of spotting some animals.

I would definitely stay again in Las Islas Lodge.
