Owner description: Changing Tide Tours has had over 7,500 guests tour the Golfo Dulce with us during the past eight years. We are proud of the fact that, in addition to being the longest operating tour boat provider on the OSA, we are also known as the ‘Premium Tour’ on the Gulf. That's because our custom-built tour boats are safe, comfortable and well equipped; and they are always manned by a professional, licensed Captain and English speaking Guide team. Changing Tide Tours finds the dolphins over 90% of the time. Come with us and enjoy a fun, informative, 25+ mile guided tour as the Golfo Dulce (‘Sweet Gulf’) serves up its many “magical” wonders. Whales, Dolphins, Manta Rays, Whale Sharks, Sea Turtles, numerous Fish, and Sea Birds—all these have been seen by our guests. Our tour boats are equipped with quiet, eco-friendly four stroke motors, contoured seats and a full-canopy sun top for your comfort and protection. After a short crossing, you will experience the Gulf’s lush, rugged Eastern Shore, up close and personal to "one of the world’s three tropical fjords." Along with your Dolphin Cruise and informative eco- tour, your crew will offer Swimming, Snorkeling and Plane Boarding when and where conditions permit. And when you return to the boat, you can enjoy a fresh water rinse and fresh fruit. Tour is 4-5 hours.

Tino brought us to the most beautiful locations and Mark, he lives on the Dolfo Dulce for 18 years, was able to answer all questions and to tell and to show us a lot. We have certainly seen more than 50 dolphins and a sea turtle. The snorkeling was very interesting, I was able to take beautiful photos. Plane boarding was new to me, really special. We were only five guests so we had plenty of space. Especially appreciated I have after snorkeling the many fresh fruits and snacks. Thank you Mark and Tino for the beautiful day!

Great morning on the water - Captain Tino and Guide Jessica - found the elusive (that day, anyway) spotted dolphins - a big pod - and we had fun following them around the top of Golfo Dulce. Then stopped for snorkeling - water was not as clear as we would have liked, but Tino and Jessica found a beautiful purple starfish and an eel - we also saw some tropical fish. They provided lovely fresh fruit snacks/drink to refresh after the time in the water and on the trip back to Puerto Jimenez. Trip into the mangrove was interesting. Throughout, Jessica gave some great insight into living / working in Costa Rica - especially in the Osa - and Tino had a good eye for finding the animals - including a couple of bottle-nose dolphins right outside the harbor just before we completed the trip. Would recommend this tour.

We took our group of 8 adults and 11 kids (ages 9 through 17) on an incredible day aboard the Delphine Blanco. Mary Ann and Jessica were incredibly friendly, and Captain Tino had an unbelievable talent for spotting animals in the thick mangroves. The highlight for our group was seeing a very large pod of dolphins "in hunt" really up close and snorkeling to see the amazing seaworld in the reefs.

I highly recommend this trip with this company. Some of our best memories of the Osa came from this adventure.

This was my second trip to Costa Rica. This trip was a bit different than the last. I went to Guanacoste and Pacific Ocean last time. This trip I decided to do something different.....the Osa Peninsula and Puerto Jimenez....what I would call "The Last Frontier", is definitely different. This is not an area for people who want the typical tourist offerings. This is for the adventurous types that want to experience a "pure/unscathed" natural experience. Maryann has a first class operation that is geared to make every one on the boat have a fantastic experience. I was on a trip with 4 families from Boston. We wanted to see wildlife and dolphins....that is exactly what we got. The mangroves were beautiful with losts of birds and a baby crocodile. On the dolphin part of the trip, we hit dolphins everywhere...jumping and in a feeding pattern...which was so interesting and the dolphins were extremely active. As a scuba diver, I was amazed at the different fish, starfish, eels, etc in the gulf...and the calrity was so much better than expected. The Osa is not for everyone....but if you want memories of monkeys, macaws, toucans, dolphins and a real, pure experience the Osa is for you. If you go....you must do a dolpin tour with Changing tide tours....simply the best!!!!
