“Small rustic hotel in a beautiful location.”

The hotel is on the shore of Golfito Dulce and on the edge of Puerto Jimenez. Puerto Jimenez is located on the Oso Peninsula on one of the most biologically diverse place on the planet. We go every year in January for the fantastic fishing. Contact Capt. Packard marhuron.com for a great fishing experience. Sailfish, marlin, dolfin, tuna, roosterfish are some of the plentiful fish available. Hotel manager Chris is very helpful in making sure you have a wonderful stay. The rooms are small, comfotable and inexpensive and several of them have a gorgeous view of the gulf. If you want the "off the beaten path experience" then this is the place.

First visit to Costa Rica and picked this place based on reviews. I was not disappointed at all. The rooms are clean, refrigerator and coffee maker are provided. Air conditioning is available. The grounds are comfortable and well kept. The view from the deck is beautiful. I wanted a place to relax and just enjoy being there. Kayaks available and bikes if you so choose, first come first served basis. The manager is very knowledgeable about the area and helpful. All the staff is very helpful.
I wanted a place to put my feet up and feel comfortable. This was great.

Recently spent 2 nights at Cabina Jimenez after coming down from Quepos. Had found this locale on the internet thru tripadvisor but had not made a prior resy til leaving Quepos. Almost a bad mistake in high season. First night they had a cabina for us which was very nice...but the second night we were able to move to a waterfront cabina which was outstanding. 4500kms from home from ran into folks who live 4 kms from us. Go figure in a 10 unit locale. Hosts Chris and Juan Carlos were great for all out needs. Ronaldo mural paintings are well....wow. This locale with the road upgrades will soon become the new hot spot. Loved it and this will be my first spot on return.

We found this quaint hotel from the 2010 Frommer's guide book. It is a convenient in town location. We stayed in the bungalow. It was very clean and well maintained. The owner has obviously taken great care to make many improvements, and has put a lot of attention to little details which have added to the beauty of the hotel. The staff is also very helpful. Thumbs up!

We are accustomed to 4 star hotels, and although it was not that, we were extremely satisfied. The grounds are very clean and lush, and artisticly put together, as are the rooms. One can't help but feel relaxed here. The staff becomes like family; and yes - take a bicycle into town, no charge. Take a kayak through the mangroves- no charge. We certainly appreciated their efforts to make this an excellent stay. Thanks John and JuanCarlos and staff.

We had the pleasure to stay in Cabinas Jimenez and our only regret was having to leave. John and his crew made us feel very welcome and have done a great job in creating a bejou, very well specified and utterly relaxing place to base yourself at while absorbing Costa Rican culture and wildlife.

We enjoyed the bungalow #1 which was spotlessly clean and had all the facilities which we wanted with the added bonus of the Pacific waves lapping not 5 metres off the back of the deck (when the tide was in). Walk less that 100 metres and you're in the middle of the small dusty town of Puerto Jimenez which was charmingly unsophisticated. All-in a place we'd like to return to and if we do we'll book rooms in Cabinas Jimenez again without a doubt.

I definitely recommend this Hotel and in particular, Room 2. It's perfectly located with more privacy and a direct access to hammocks, the pool and the waterfront... You actually have like a Garden view and a water front at the same time, it's just great.

The room was very clean and quiet, equipped with a mini fridge and a coffee machine, large shower with cool wall painting in the bathroom.
The room could use a better lightning but we ask Juan Carlos, one of the guy who help you during your stay,( I guess you could say Concierge, even if it sounds kind of funny to use that word in this context :) if we could get another night stand. We had it in the next 5 min.
"Captain Chris", the manager and Captain of your boat if you take the trip to the Sanctuary (Highly recommended!!!) was really cool and helpful as well.

If you go in Puerto Jimenez and don't want to spend too much, that is a really cool place to stay. They even let you use the bikes and kayak for free... :)

Thanks again for everything guy's !
