My husband and I booked this hotel for one night in November at the beginning of a 15 day trip but unfortunately due to the hurricane and horrendous weather we ended up grounded and stuck in San Jose for 3 nights. The staff were incredibly helpful and liaised with our tour company to make sure everything ran smoothly. The rooms are very chic (though I was cold but they gave me extra blankets) and the grounds lovely with a delightful pool which had the weather been good enough I'm sure I would have enjoyed.
The only negatives would be that breakfast tends to be a bit on the small side - in fact one German couple was furious with the tiny bread rolls she was given and took it out on the poor waiter - but it was nice. Also I wish they had a shuttle bus or some sort of transport as it is far from the centre and quite costly in a cab. Regardless , this was a lovely hotel with very helpful management and staff who really did go out of their way to be as efficient and supportive as possible. I really liked the decor and style and wish the weather had been better!!!More
