“Tiquicia not Tiquisia”
Reviewed 24 April 2012

Great views in the dry season, but below average food and awful service. Definitely not handicap friendly! Cold.

“Best restaurant in San Jose. Million dollar view and great food.”
Reviewed 30 January 2012

This place is a little tricky to get to but the food is amazing and it has a view of all of the city. I was staying near the multiplaza and checked out all the restaurants in that area. They are all overpriced and pretty lame. Nothing costa rican, just but american chains and ripoffs.msomeone recommended this place and we made the trek. Ate the jalapeno steak which was a huge portion that my wife and i both finished. I saw the comment about cleanliness but this place was totally clean. I even commented to my wife about ow clean the bathroom was. Tis restaurant should be ranked number 1 for the area, it shows you that tripadvisor does not always have all the answers. I will try to get a photo up of the view as there is no photo for this place.

“Worth the climb for the view and food”
Reviewed 8 September 2011

Since there are no addresses on anything here, it took a while to make it to the restaurant. So we were starving and probably a little tired of each other in the car. When you get out of the car you are faced with an ocean of lights from the city below (go at night).

There are multiple places in the restaurant where you can set and lookout while you eat. The food is very traditional Costa Rican cuisine. They do have musicians that will play too.

Overall, great experience a short distance from San Jose.

“Good view, don't go early.”
Reviewed 24 August 2011

Tiquisia is in a hole at the top of a mountain. That description would sound great if the sun was out. At 7p on a wet overcast night, we felt like we were in an Indiana Jones movie.

We missed the dancers and everything else everyone mentioned, but the food was pretty good. Rice and beans plus plantains seems to be the staple here , but the beef and chicken was good too.

Service was slow, but not rude. I wish we could have passed the time better enjoying the scenery and/or the dancers. Oh well.
