“Big park, a bit worn out”
Reviewed 25 May 2014

Big park near the city center, good for a picnic or a stroll with the family. We like the shade, body of water but the kids playground was really worn out. Actually it was a bit dangerous as we have seen kids falling off the swings with the swing itself. One can see it was recently refreshed but will require more tech. support.

“Better now than 2 years ago”
Reviewed 18 April 2014

This park has been restored lately and it is way better that it was not long ago, the new national stadium is the biggest land mark in the park.

Be careful do not touch the lake's water.

“Worth a stroll-through”
Reviewed 27 March 2014

We were staying at the Tryp Sabana hotel nearby, so we went for a nice walk through this park on our first day in the country. There were some interesting sights - the "highlighter" trees, a nice lake with a view of the mountains in the distance... be sure to check out the national soccer stadium, and the Costarricense art museum as well.

“Sabana Park”

Used to house the old airport. Place where many people go on the weekend with their family. See it and carry on.

“Very pleasant Sunday stroll.”
Reviewed 19 February 2014

Short cheap bus ride from the Best Western Irazu. Lots of families just out for the day on skates and bikes and little boats. Fruit and ice cream vendors along the way.
