Thanks to the other reviews here, I stayed here with my husband and 2 young boys for 3 nights. It was perfect. It's a very short walk (less than 5 minutes) to the beach, park and end of town for shops and dining. However it's great that the street it's on is quiet and tucked away. It also borders the back of the park so I was visited by deer, monkeys, sloths and others all while sitting on my patio.
The owner (Mike) and his whole staff were friendly and helpful. The owner introduced himself shortly after we arrived and then led us to a tree with a sleeping sloth. He was also helping out and chatting with guest's every morning at breakfast. He even got the guests and some staff together one night for a bowling trip into Quepos. The staff was helpful in finding a good deal on shuttle rides and advice for things to do. They had a great lunch pizza deal, and a dinner movie night that was tasty and one of the best deals for the $ in town.
When my youngest son became sick with a fever, the lady who was fixing up our room that day even came back (without being asked) with tea with honey for him.
This hotel is small, so don't expect a big resort. It's more of a simple , clean bed and breakfast with a causal home-like feel.
I look forward to retuning next year!
