I booked this hotel online through their website the day prior to my trip after confirming over the phone that they had the rooms I needed. First thing they told me when we arrived "Sorry, your rooms are not available". We were tired and decided to take a 2 queen bed instead of to single rooms. The next day they offered to move us to the original rooms but we declined their offer. This hotel is in downtown San Jose. The surroundings, including the street where the hotel is located, are not pretty. There is a bar right next to it and you can hear people arguing and raising their voices late at night. Also, San Jose has an active train system. The railroad is just a couple houses down from the hotel. Those trains are loud. We heard them blowing their horns until about 9:30 pm. They will also wake you up early in the morning. The Hotel was Ok. Breakfast was fine. Fruits, Juice, coffee and bread. Towels were old and stained. Luckily, I always travel with my own towels. There are rooms in two different houses. The main house and another one across the street where we ended up staying. The wifi signal works only in the main house. There was no A/C, phone or fridge in our room. Finally, I think there is only one parking spot in the hotel. Parking on the street is difficult due to the proximity to the Nicaraguan Embassy and the Bar. Remember this is a house. So, if you need a room for one night this is an Ok hotel. Otherwise go somewhere else.
