Very friendly staff, cute decor, clean, walking distance to many restaurants and bars. Those are the the positives.
They say they have parking but it was never available when we needed it. Because it was sandwiched between bars, you have to park before 6pm when the bars open; otherwise, there is no parking. We had to park in a no parking zone and set our alarm clock to move the car in the middle of the night after the bars closed.
The bed was so hard we woke up with a back ache every morning.
Breakfast was fine. Nothing special but nothing wrong with it either.
This place is good for young people who like to party. Or anyone who doesn't need to park and doesn't mind bar music until 2:30am or trains passing early in the morning.

Bright & beautiful with great service! This boutique B&B feels like home while you are on vacation. The staff is wonderful and the atmosphere is unique and artistic. Each room is decorated with bright, local artwork and the bedding is extremely comfortable. I will stay at Casa 69 each time I visit Costa Rica!

We stayed one night at Casa 69. The hotel is rather unique and serves a decent breakfast. The problem for us was finding this small place late in the evening and finding a parking spot. Eventually, we parked in a small tight garage across the street from the hotel (this garage belongs to the hotel). Thankfully, our rental car was rather small and was able to fit inside the garage. Furthermore, it is quite a drive from the airport. This place would probably be a good choice for exploring San Jose rather than to spend a night before driving to Arenal area, which was our plan. The street where hotel is located was packed in the evening with numerous creepy people, however we had no issues. We had another night booked at this hotel for our return time to San Jose, but due to the issues listed above we had to cancel our reservation and book a room at another hotel.
